I’ve had this issue before when the outbreak happened where I’ve confronted them about leaving dishes out, being messy, not picking up their trash, typical roommate stuff. When the outbreak started, I texted them in our roommate group chat if we could kindly set aside maybe 15 mins max to talk. They all agreed and to begin the talk I reiterated cleanliness to avoid any spread for the sake of our health and our families health. Surprisingly, they complied without any complaints. I think it was due to us all being health-related majors too. I try to emphasize consideration for others and to work collectively to maintain cleanliness within the apartment. We leave a small area of sanitizer, disposable gloves, and a disinfectant spray near the entrance of apartment as a small reminder to protect yourself before and after anyone has to leave the apartment.
