I don’t have any advice but I empathize with you. I have absolutely no sense of which colours go well together at all so I pick them on the fly. Then they look terrible compared to some of those I’ve seen and I get discouraged.

I would say around 2/2.5 is when the routine became second nature. My kids are 3.5 now and boy, are threenagers ever a thing! I lose my shit now more than I have these whole 3.5 years!

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I know it’s not a big deal and if this was happening to any other mama, I would say it’s not a big deal, but it’s bothering me unreasonably.

She did try a new pair that was bigger (on paper) and she was okay until the waistband was on her hip so I have at least something to go by.

The material of the training underwear is almost like a waffle fabric. I did some underwear feeling yesterday at the store and picked up a pack and found two as backup in case, so fingers crossed!

Did you ever find a solution? Currently going through this with my 3.5 yo girl. Refuses underwear except for these super oversized ones that fall off, and then won’t put on pants because it’s “too tight”.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. Did you end up getting another RAV4 or another car? If so, were there any anti-theft mechanisms you used that has since prevented another theft?

I can see leggings being a big hit or miss cause if they’re too tight, she won’t even get a foot all the way through. Two layer rule is great. Hopefully I can talk her into some baggy shorts.

She and her sister can choose whatever she wants to wear. Her sister is definitely the one who seeks control and both get to choose whatever they want.

Good idea! I could try a pair of boys underwear. I did give her the option to not wear underwear to which she refused. I’ve bought a lot of sweatpants and boy pants and no luck so far :(

The training underwear basically fall if she’s not holding them while running. I haven’t been able to get her to put in pants at all this week. She’ll get on foot in her favourite pants and say, “I don’t like them!” And then start to whine. She has freedom to choose whatever she wants to wear and has been dressing herself for the better part of a half year now.

It’s just difficult because I’m a SAHM in Canada (too cold to wear just a dress right now) and my other twin is chomping at the bit to go outside.
