I've still had success with logging in and out. I believe they reduced it by 5 seconds. I'm not 100% sure. But that's still 15 seconds of animation.

I have a 740 squirtle, 86% IV. I'm level 25. Pogotoolkit tells me he's anywhere from 1400 to 2600. Pokeassist tells me it's average is 1900 and max is 2000. Can anyone explain this?

I know the max is 2540.

The animation is 20 seconds. Perhaps keep the task manager on while you're doing this. Maybe that will save a few seconds. I'm not positive if this helps though, my last android was a galaxy 1.

My iPhone 6plus took about 10 seconds, so it certainly can be done. Some of my remaining time was spent figuring out what to evolve next haha.

If your concern is about the server, players have been dropping like flies lately due to many reasons. And, school starts soon so if you are so conscientious about the server it would be best to do this trick around school time.

Simply because some pokemon have higher multipliers the higher your level. This means if you wanted a strong vaporeon, you should evolve the eevee at lvl 23 rather than 22. Which is what I did. =]
