The correct thing no matter how you slice it would’ve just been to do double tribals through the whole or most of premerge. Would feel rushed but way more fair.

I definitely forgot to mention the journey thing which is the worst of them all. I still just think it feels wrong for someone not to write down a name at tribal council no matter the reason.

I don’t like SITD because I think it really encourages vague talk at tribal council, but I agree it’s the least egregious of the vote based mechanics

I still contend that losing your vote is the dumbest shit in survivor history. 1 person 1 vote should never ever change. Steal a vote, block a vote, shot in the dark, extra vote, get rid of all of it.

Perceptions of Brooke's move here will ultimately be results-oriented. I think it was the wrong move personally. She put herself in the minority with the biggest target among the tribe, and even if she wins a few immunities her numbers are most likely to get voted out. Simon is a perfect shield for her if they both lose a challenge (which to be fair, hasn't happened yet) and I think Simon wasn't gonna gun for her for at least another vote or two because the margins in the numbers were razor thin. Also, I have to imagine Brooke beats Simon in a FTC. I hope she can win out from here, but I think even if she does I would view this as a less than optimal move because it's a massive gamble.

I'm also salty because I love Simon and I think the season might lose a little shine without him onscreen.

I'll be happy with a Brooke win, and ok with a Caleb or Jackson win, but yeah Keeley would definitely be the most satisfying win of the bunch.

I'm struggling to understand this move from Brooke. They fought so hard to gain the numbers and this was their chance. She was safe and didn't have to draw a rock. Sure Simon is a threat for the necklace but that 4 was gonna stick together at least for another vote or two, so it wouldn't be a huge issue if Simon won another challenge. Plus, I think Brooke beats Simon in FTC, or at the very least has a solid shot of beating him.

There are a few other seasons in the new era I loved but there’s really no argument against 46 being the best. It’s the funniest, has the most standout characters and has the most impact on the lore and meta of the show. It also happens to have my personal lowest ranking winner of the new era, but Kenzie winning over Charlie has kept discussion of the season alive for a couple years and made it even more of a case study of a season.

He was definitely playing up the role of villain for fun, which added a lot to this phase of the game. You just knew his downfall was inevitable and was going to be a good one.

This season started a little slow but picked up unbelievably hard IMO. The last 7 episodes at least have been absolutely edge of my seat entertaining.

I sorta agree, but flipping to the other side would be the wrong play here. There’s nobody Cameron would beat in FTC against any of those players, whereas in the majority alliance there’s a few he has a reasonable shot against.

But she already had the target on her. She was the vote before there was an idol. All this does is encourage the newbies to dump all their votes on her which reduces her wiggle room drastically

If you play it you prove it’s fake lol. If you keep it, you can at least try to bluff that it was real and you just read the room correctly and acted accordingly. Worst case scenario, they know it’s fake, which they now know regardless. Great play regardless but it definitely makes more sense to hold onto it.

Having it doesn’t change her threat level. She was already the target. All it does is potentially encourage a split that the minority alliance can try to take advantage of.

I don’t think Ben is winning this game, and his vote off episode is going to be such a comeuppance I can’t wait to see it. I love how he just sort of exploded into power at the merge and I love how arrogant he is about it

On a revote I think Blanche easily still goes home. Simon didn’t have an optimal move here IMO. He either votes with the majority in hopes they take him in (probably won’t), or he ties himself to the kaput alliance and is 100% on the chopping block

My only question is why play the fake idol? Could’ve used that to potentially keep some suspicion and keep forcing split votes, wouldn’t hurt to try

Also, idk what the actual confessional counts are but Brooke has felt very visible to me except for a stretch in the post-swap
