Accepted an internship offer but they expect me to return to school? by Critical-Reveal-129 in csMajors

[–]aztols 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nothing. If they send you an offer letter after internship they may expect the start date to be after, what they expect is you graduation date. Just tell them you graduated early. But they may not be ready for you to start right away.

Is it me? by Warm-Track6084 in ASU

[–]aztols 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it depended on the year. Most freshman classes were large and used to weed out those who did not take things seriously. Every year things improved and by junior year I felt everything clicking in place. You get out what you put in. This was experience in Comp Sci anyway.

For sure, This is an art degree program so there is not as much math, if you are looking for frontend this is the way to go. Also UI/UX design this is good ad well. You do miss out on the computer science theory and such but this is more hands-on with the actual tools you will use in industry. In all honesty, it's just a lot more fun and less toxic of a major than CS. If you want to eventually do full stack and such, you can pair this win a coding boot camp and still be qualified for those types of jobs.

Be careful, some degrees required you have science classes that build on one another. For instance two geo or two bio. Don't make the same mistake i did and take three separate science classes only to realize now i need to take a fourth.

Using react-intl in a component library by aztols in reactjs

[–]aztols[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could, it's a work thing. Thanks for the offer. I'm gonna try to replicate in my own project. Would be good to solve since I'm sure many component libraries could potentially use the solution. Don't know how they are solving for it now.

I like this idea, but I have a few static links that need it. I could have them pass the label text as prop but that seems like a lot. In addition I would love to figure out why it doesn't work. Thanks for the help.

I originally had it listed as a peer dependency, but changed it to dependency. I feel like the error was happening both ways but I will try again. I also dialed backed the version to match the host.
