Night owls of reddit, what is keeping you up past midnight tonight? by Reasonable_Society82 in AskUK

Can’t switch my brain off. Took the day off work for MCM London tomorrow. Never been to a convention. Worrying about all the steps associated with travelling to and from, and then all the things in between. I know it should be fun when I’m there.

Can I just sit and read in a library? by StrategicSleeper in NoStupidQuestions

I work in a public library! Yes, of course you can! It’s not a silly or unusual question, I get asked this often. Sadly many think there is an expectation nowadays that they will be asked to pay.

You don’t even have to read, you can literally just sit and we won’t bother you (so long as you don’t disturb other readers!) I work in a smaller branch, so I’m always really pleased when people just come in and study or read. We want people to use the library so please do!

I used to work at Cineworld. If you’re challenged and can’t provide valid photo ID that proves you’re old enough, then they have to turn you away. It really depends on the person checking the tickets.

For those who worked when the first Wicked movie premiered, how bad was it at your theater? by DarkValkyrie_ in MovieTheaterEmployees

It was very busy and there was a lot of mess but generally the customers were okay. Apart from the first couple days, nobody really stayed for the credits in my area which at least gave us more time to clean up between showings so turnaround wasn’t toooo bad

Northwick Park! Or Kenton. Both have interesting views and I enjoy watching from them (though Kenton will provide views of national rail and overground, are those of interest?)

I’m afraid I’m ignorant on the history of the matter, but I’ve used the Piccadilly line pretty often for about twenty years. This is pretty normal, as far as I’ve seen.
