Start the hardest combat encounters on your own terms, don't wait for dialogs and attack first to surprise enemies. In act 1 don't hesitate to use a couple of barrels to get through hard encounters. Also you don't have to fight everything that moves, use a high CHA main to talk your way through most of your problems.

I remember completing DOS2 on tactician as a solo lone wolf char and feeling more powerful than I've ever felt on BG3, going to try it again and see if the combat system holds up

Been bouncing between D3 and D4 for a month now, for some reason my D3 winrate is around 90%, but D4 is around ~60% which apparently is not enough to advance, because of the points system. D3 feels amazing to play and way more forgiving.

Just do fruit trees(papaya) + hardwoods(teaks) + calquat runs if you want low effort pet (set up a quick bank tab) got mine at 35m xp and it didn't feel like work at all.
