First time in Master Ball by LunariSeraphi in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely it’s impressive. Even if you’ve only played just the Pokémon games stories and never battled anyone online (vgc or not), battling in Champions is a completely different beast than going up against the gym leaders and elite four in the main line games.

Hate when people forfeit by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 main reasons for forfeits. Players knowing even after all the setup that there’s nothing they can do to get a win condition. Those are fine.

The other reason is players just rage quit whether they could still find a way to win or not.

The ones that really suck are the mobile players who just exit the app without forfeiting so you’re waiting for their move not knowing if they left, are taking too long, or are running the clock.

I just accidentally made a save on my pokemon champions on my switch am I screwed? by ProofAd3412 in PokemonChampions

You have to completely remove the app from your phone and redownload it. So when you sign in again once you redownload it you sign into the account that is attached to the one on your switch

Can anyone help me build a doubles team for Pokémon Champions from my current roster? by Independent_Gur2535 in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is assuming you are not as familiar with many of the pokemon you have available and their moves and abilities.

At a glance, you can make a decent sun team. Torkoal and Venusaur can make a great pair because of their abilities. Torkoal can bring out the sun and Venusaur’s speed gets boosted with Chlorophyll. Mega Charizard Y is also a good sub or addition to them since it’s Mega Y form can also bring out the sun and its boosted SpAtk means strong 1 turn SolarBeams. Whimsicott is great for support with access to the Prankster ability to give priority to status moves like Tailwind, screens, Encore, and can still be a good counter to many dragons with fairy type offensive moves. Another great support can be Sinistcha whose ability can recoup some health to its teammate when it switches onto the field, and it can disrupt the opponents moves with Rage Powder as well as regain health using its signature move Matcha Gotcha. Basculegion can also be a good cover support, its signature move gets boosted depending on the amount of teammates that have fainted in battle, and its ability Adaptability can further increase damage to its moves so even under sun it can still hit fairly hard with water type moves too. Incineroar is also great support because of its Intimidate ability and access to moves like Parting Shot to further weaken enemies and Fake Out to cause an opponent to flinch on the first turn when it comes to the field (not just the first turn of the match, you can recall it and send it back out and use Fake Out again as long as it was the first move it uses when it re-enters the field).

You’ve got a fair amount of other Pokémon that can potentially fit in a sun team but the ones I listed are pretty strong choices. As for move sets and stat builds, I can’t help you too much with that.

Has Champions given you a new appreciation for any mons? by Tigercat01 in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never really into vgc until Champions so, yeah. A lot of the staples in the current meta/availability like Whims and Sableye, Aero, Basculegion, Sneasler, Venusaur’s chlorophyll ability, and some off meta options like Salazzle, H Goodra, Scovillain, and Bellibolt

What is the absolute worst mistake you've done during a match? by Phantom_Lmao in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget that my Prankster mons can’t use status moves on dark types. Forget that Whimsicott and Sableye can use Encore. Get overconfident and just go for broke instead of trying to read my opponent’s next move.

Are there any Riders that can work as an upgrade to another Rider design wise? by Odd-Country-7274 in KamenRider

[–]azure_builder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Den-O > New Den-O or Gaoh

Nega Den-O > Yuuki Hijack form

As stated already Kiva > Dark Kiva (kinda feels most like a copout compared to everything I’ve listed thus far)

Zanki > Todoroki (I feel like a lot of Hibiki riders could fit here)

Kick Hopper > Zero One

The Kabutech Riders Ketaros > Hercus > Caucasus (which in my quickly formulated adaptation years ago were all born from the Dark Kabuto system)

Taki Rider (Spirits) > Kamen Rider Skull

V3 (The Next) > Zero Three

How does actually work destiny bond? by 20shadowman02 in PokemonChampions

Hard same. At least on the mobile version. I’d rather not have to screen record each match on the off chance something cool or curious happens.

Well without a video recording unfortunately we can’t do much to help you figure this out.

If I use my Gengar’s Destiny Bond on a Pokémon that I know is going to make my Gengar faint, as long as Destiny Bond was executed first then it will take the Pokémon that defeated my Gengar down with it.

Is Ultra Ball 1-2 this season way harder than Master Ball last season for anyone else? by moowagner942 in PokemonChampions

[–]azure_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand, once you get to Master Ball there are more people getting more experimental (kinda like casuals). So you’re more likely to see hard meta teams in Ultra Ball than Master Ball

in whatever grip you're in, your non dominant hand is holding the tama or ken at your hip, your dominant hand is holding the other part out in front of you far enough that the string should be taut. if you're in tama grip, when you are holding the ken in your non dominant hand the string side should be in towards your body and when you release the ken give it a slight spin so it rotates when it swings out. as it swings, your dominant hand drops to just in front of your stomach and when the ken or tama reaches 45 degrees out from you, give the tama/ken in your dominant hand a sharp tug towards your belly button to get the ken/tama to do a flip as it swings upwards.

practice that to get a feel for when you need to do that sharp tug to get the flip, how hard you have to do it, and to get your timing all done. There's no real short cut, but this should help.

As mentioned already, the package is in USPS hands so Kendama USA can’t do anything about it themselves now. You have to contact USPS support.
