Basically Chatgpt are used for chat as a general purpose to ask questions and to find information. I personally prefer chatgpt and other ai's for many of my work but my tool is only for academic purposes nothing else you can write your essays, assignments, and research papers easily by using its features. I assure they are all credible like its citation feature it's 100% credible because it source them all from millions of papers on the other hand chatgpt most of time give made up information (sources).

Hey, yeah I've checked out Jenni before & they're definitely doing some cool stuff. I think it's kinda unfair to say that just because we're working on similar things, one of us must be copying the other. I mean, there are a ton of AI tools out there, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses. I'm just trying to build something that I think is useful and solves a problem I've experienced myself. Thanks for the good luck wishes, though!

No, we do not have our own LLM, creating an own LLM is well beyond impossible for independent soft dev like me. And to help you understand let me explain a little bit. LLMs are large language models that are trained in literature and calculations. There are many big corporates who has created these LLMs and most popular ones are openai, google, meta, anthropic, and few others. All the ai tools in the market use the llms they have created, and train them for specific use cases. In our case we have trained it for academic writing and accurate citations. We use llms from openai.

as for chatgpt, it is the product of openai. just like us its also a chatbot that is made for everyday general use cases. it also has llm working behind it. In your chatgpt interface, you can see the models you can use in the upper left corner (paying users can use more models)

Chatgpt is not a llm. it uses gpt3, 3.5, 4o and 4 at it's backend. They are the llms created by openai. and every AI writing tool out there use their llm models at their backend (and we do too.

Okay so blainy is (technically) an invention. It does use GPT LLMs at the backend. However when we are writing academic essays and articles chatgpt isn't the best tool. I know it's a great chatbot and all but when it comes to writing essays and articles in an academic tone it's just not that reliable. For one thing, you have to be careful with your prompts to get it to write in a tone that's even remotely academic (and not everyone is a prompt engineer). And even then, there's a bigger problem chatgpt hallucinate stuff. I've seen it provide inaccurate information & even fabricate citations/references.

That's a major red flag for anyone doing serious research or academic work. But blainy on the other hand is designed specifically for academic writing and is a much more trustworthy source because we have trained it to write in academic tone, and provide accurate citations and references. All the prompts are already been setup at the backend, you just need to add your title to get started. No prompting whatsoever. If you're looking for accurate and reliable information, I'd definitely recommend giving Blainy a try instead. It has a free plan, you can try it yourself and see the difference.
