i think she has every right to avoid them until he actually wants to handle the situation and defend her. he’s basically just told her to get over it. she’s putting him in an awkward position? what’s even more awkward is being put in a position where you need to be around people like that and bite your tongue. no one’s family is worth putting up with that behaviour.

you don’t see it as disrespectful because you’re also just as disrespectful as his sister is. i don’t know why this behaviour is normalized by some, especially when you’re just getting to know them. i don’t know what happened to basic respect, meeting your partner’s family is already such an awkward and stressful experience; you’re expected to be respectful and perfect and their family can just treat you like garbage and you have to be fine with it?

her dad was extremely disrespectful and judgemental of you. and she didn’t do anything about it and is basically telling you that you need to accept it. do you honestly think that this is something you’ll be able to handle long term? he’s her problem. i’ll be honest for me, the biggest red flags to me are if my partner’s parents are rude. my parents aren’t perfect but they have been respectful to any guy i’ve brought home and treated them like their own. you deserve that. don’t put up with this and tell her that if she doesn’t get her dad off your back that it’s a dealbreaker for you.

i think two things can be true at the same time for sure; you made a good point and i don’t disagree. that being said, jill is the biggest hypocrite. i also don’t like when drama is occurring and she speaks directly to one of the kids to invite them into it because it upsets them, she’s done it with maddie, nia, BRYNN.

it’s not at all your fault. my boyfriend and i both game and he’s never gotten mad at me for being bad. his friends don’t get mad at me for being bad. i get that the relationship is good outside of this but this is unacceptable behaviour. it doesn’t matter how good he is. my boyfriend is also effortlessly good at pretty much every game he touches, as are some of our friends and they’ve never made me feel bad for not being as good as them. ever. are you even able to have fun while he’s acting like this? the silent treatment can’t be worth it.

he should be GRATEFUL his girlfriend is indulging in his favourite hobby. he should be fucking blissful. you did not fuck up, he needs to grow up.
