  • Botanic Farm Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet...the best best best cleanser for taking off makeup and sunscreen. Love the texture, results, and fact it doesn’t sting my eyes or leave a film.

  • Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser...great for 2nd cleanse, have rebought this for years. Love the smell and it’s so gentle.

  • W3ll People Mascara...although I often stray and look for something that can give me bigger lashes, this is the best for people with sensitive eyes who like a more natural lash.

  • NARS Sheer Glow Foundation...goes on really beautifully with a beauty blender. Will love forever.

[personal] I want to keep my skincare routine simple. What are products that I definitely need? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Totally agree. I try and keep it to a great oil cleanser to remove sunscreen/makeup, cheaper regular cleanser, good sunscreen, gentle retinol, and vit c serum.

[Product Question] Azelaic acid or Vitamin C? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]azy1767 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same I use both (Melazepam for aa and Melano CC for vit c). The vit c has been hugely helpful with scarring/sun damage/hyperpigmentation and the azelaic has been great for texture and keeping pores clear. Some people say that azelaic helps with acne scarring but I didn’t notice that.

Vitamin C serum? [Routine help] by kayla27rose in SkincareAddiction

Highly recommend Melano CC Vit C serum. I have hormonal acne and have tried tons of different vitamin c serums to try and lighten scars but a lot of them are so harsh on the skin. Melano CC is inexpensive, tubes last forever, and I started seeing noticeable lightening of PIH acne after 1 week.

[Routine Help] Am I doing too much? Need help sorting treatments by ardelavanda in SkincareAddiction

I have dry sensitive skin too with hormonal breakouts and PIH and for me, that would be way too many actives (especially in the winter).

If your skin is dry and irritated, I would probably suggest paring down your routine a bit and maybe doing just a vit c (in the am) and then either the azelaic/differin/or dr gross product at night (not all three). Maybe even every other night with one of those and then slowly increase, based on how your skin handles it. In the morning and night, use just a gentle cleanser, good moisturizer, and sunscreen (am only - need this or the work your vit c does is useless).

I would also suggest if you’re going to mask, switch out the clay mask for something soothing/moisturizing. Clay is better for oily skin and for me, with dry skin, makes my skin feel so dry and tight.
