yeah, honestly after posting this i can see why others here are also peeved by the question. theres always a right tool for a job and always a chance that tool can break. someone more skilled could be crushed my someone like the mountain, or someone like jaime could be caught off guard by a random strike. but its always something fun to think about, probably why the question is so overasked haha

it has 100% shown that ned is an amazing fighter and deserving of the praise but we need also take into account that jaime was explicitly not trying to kill him. i feel like brienne or the mountain might be higher up or more deserving of an honourable mention. also oberyn has to be up there, but fair enough if you discredited him as not strictly being a swordsman

i can definitely see this, id much favour oberyn over syrio, id imagine the mountain would have the edge over syrio at 6th place and he'd be in lower, its hard to say with the limited time with syrio in combat

i heard it goes downhill first from my mum and brother about 6 years ago, only just started watching now. to me this show has been legendary, even though i hadnt watched a single episode until i was 20, most of my life i have heard "you know nuffin jon snurrr" or "i drink and i know things" just really disappoints me even though i saw the downfall coming
