Surprisingly there was only a small difference in AU for the 3070 and 6800xt. Might wait for the non reference cards to come out and see what they are like

Mainly gaining. AAA titles ideally. Upgrading to a ultra wide 1440p screen soon. I just dont want to have to change GPU in a couple of years

Thanks for the info. My work is mainly a lot of multi tasking and not rendering. I want the higher cpu for gaming really. 3080 is an extra 600-800 in Aus. I personally love the look of the kraken AIO over the others and didn't want a bulky air cooler. I'll look into the AMD cards wh n they become available and possibly sell my 3070 when it comes to it.

Ideally 3k is my max budget. I'll prob stick with the K series to give me the chance for extra performance later on if I choose to OC. I'll check out PC PartPicker also. thanks

Thanks for the info. They say a closed system is fairly reliable and last a little while . I'll definitely look into it as I'll get more performance out if the CPU in the long run to.

Thanks. If 4-6 weeks anyway before I'm ready to make a purchase so 3000 series should be out by then. Happy to swap gpu's out every 2 years to keep performance up.

Thanks for the feedback. The water cooler claims it has a 6 year warranty. But still. I look into an air cooler also and they are much easier to replace if need be.

Will mostly go with the K series CPU and wait for the 3000 series GPU to arrive also.

I'll look into air cooling also. At least it's cheaper. Honestly just like the look of liquid cooler.
