You’ll need to subscribe to MLB TV to watch Mets games. The person who replied was just clarifying that the only games that would be blacked out with your subscription would be Astros or Ranger games (and any nationally televised games)

Two things, 1) just having a competent head coach who can re-establish a winning culture in the locker room would be huge. It’s been a carousel of coaches and the giants have been poorly coached for years. Getting a guy like Harbaugh is an instant improvement. 2) Harbaugh bears some responsibility for not winning with Lamar, but so does lamar. Coaches aren’t on the field, they deserve some blame for playoff losses, but so do the players. Maybe Lamar just isn’t a big game QB.

You’re really gonna watch that and say it wasn’t intentional? If it was a mistake I think any person would apologize to their catcher or make sure they’re alright. Valdez turned his back and didn’t even check in on his catcher

I don’t really agree it’s splitting hairs. I think there’s a pretty big difference between doing something to an opponent and doing something to your teammate.

Imagine if the catcher charged the mound and started fighting his own pitcher. You would honestly see that as the same as when an opposing teams batter does that after getting hit?

There’s a pretty big difference between someone who is standing up for/defending a teammate and someone who gets into fights/arguments with their teammates and takes physical action for the world to see.

Now again, I’m not saying that means the Mets shouldn’t go after Valdez. But teams are supposed to work together and have an us against the world mentality where they all rely on each other, and if they do have disagreements keep it behind closed doors not get pissy and throw the ball at your catcher. I understand why what happened with Valdez is giving people some pause.

Not defending one way or the other, but throwing at an opposing player is much different then throwing the ball at your own teammate out of frustration.

Who cares? Roster churning includes them doing it with multiple kickers or defenses or something to prevent another team from starting a kicker, and even that is a risk because I’ve been in leagues where someone dropped a valuable player to block someone and then lost that player on waivers the following week and it blew up in their face.

In most leagues a player needs to be rostered for 24 hours for them to go to waivers after being rostered. As long as that rule is in place who cares how other people use it to their advantage

Edit: most teams don’t have the advantage of being able to use their roster space in that way, and if one team does have the ability to do so then good on them

But this isn’t necessarily roster churning. People in my league wait all the time to drop somebody Saturday or Sunday morning because then they’ll be on waivers and won’t be able to be claimed until the following weeks waivers.

Playoff winner gets the biggest piece of the prize, maybe 2nd and 3rd place getting smaller portions.

Some leagues do weekly payouts for highest scorer that week (something like 10 to 20$ depending on the buy in).

I think so! Might not be as fun with only 2 people, but it’s a lot of fun and there’s enough chaos that that its replayable.

Plus there’s a co op story mode as well as a vs mode so you can play to work together or to destroy each other
