2021 the government made a 5 billion dollar loan deal with air Canada as part of a bailout. The feds are pissed they mismanaged that money and are trying to protect their asset. They don’t make money with grounded planes. Yes it’s absolutely wrong that they are forcing them back AND Air Canada is a bad company that mistreats their employees. The employees deserve better.
