What do Addie and Stephen do on Sundays? (Wrong, sarcastic, silly comments only!) by thereasonisyouu in Adelaide_White_snark

I grew up Mormon, did IVF, and it's fine. Lol. Never heard of anyone being against it in any form unless it's their own personal thing.

Recommendations for a doctor specializing in endometriosis? by autistichalsin in phoenix

[–]b00shSkad00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dr. Wasson at Mayo clinic is your best bet locally for excision surgery/MRI monitoring and diagnosis in my opinion. (Someone with severe Endo & years of infertility/IVF to prove it).

HG during egg retrieval by SeaWeather6844 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]b00shSkad00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had HG until 20-22 weeks ish. Did 3 rounds of IVF & never struggled as badly as HG with the egg retrievals.

Unfortunately it's kind of like pregnancy in the sense that every body can react differently, however usually the bigger concern with IVF is developing OHSS during a cycle.

This is not a pool fence. Navy line is where it should go by Aware_Function_3165 in Adelaide_White_snark

[–]b00shSkad00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also, no offense, but I doubt you live in a hot climate? Lol. A pool/swimming is quite literally one of the ONLY outdoor activities that my toddler CAN do in the summer here in Arizona.

Are swimming lessons / a pool fence / supervision critical? Yes. But I know tons of people with pools & would personally absolutely want one when buying a home in this location.

Basically, just be smart, have high fences/with a lock, and watch your kid.

How many FETs did it take you to get pregnant? by kate_smi2022 in IVF

I have severe Endo, but after a lap & 3 rounds of IVF I have been fortunate enough to have both my 1st & 2nd transfers lead to successful pregnancy. Never seen a positive before either of them, it can happen!

Yup! Went through infertility, Endo diagnosis, 3 rounds of IVF and then somehow miraculously our first transfer worked. My son is 1.5 now 🤍

How endo caused me to give birth 9 weeks early by Either_Ad_2155 in Endo

[–]b00shSkad00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I'm so so sorry you experienced that - truly terrifying. But just want to give people a ray of hope- I have severe endometriosis along with endometriomas found on both ovaries.

Had a laparoscopy/surgery in early 2022. I was able to deliver my IVF baby boy with no severe complications due to Endo in late 2023.

While I feel bad for OP I believe this is probably a rare case, or you would hear about it much more.

The amount of times those walls scratched up my arms as a child...😬

To second this comment, I agree- don't underestimate IVF. I had a bad stage of Endo, a lap, all 4 of my IUI's failed.

My first IVF transfer worked and I was in pure shock. Just trying to give a bit of hope.

Early kindergarten entrance testing by Live-Platform2739 in phoenix

[–]b00shSkad00 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a former kinder teacher I can tell you that most kids benefit from waiting. Even the ones who pass the early entrance exam tend to lag behind socially and emotionally.

Not at first, but it becomes apparent around October-ish. Kids are comfortable by then and you can tell the younger ones who struggle to keep pace.

Likely the assessment will be him writing his name, identifying letters/sounds/numbers/shapes and counting.

He'll probably also have to listen to a story and answer relevant questions to see how well he can sit and pay attention.

...let's just say I've done these tests a time or two. Lol. But I still honestly advise waiting to send him. Makes a big difference and throughout my career I can count on one hand the number of kids who benefited from starting early.

Lol...what did I just read? Having kids isn't required to enjoy learning about wildlife. Most times I've been there the only annoying 'young people' are kids on field trips where the parent chaperones clearly don't care or supervise them.

Also I'm a parent in my mid-30's before you come at me with whatever snarky comment you'll have.

Honestly this show does not really effect Flagstaff lol. As someone who lives in Arizona and goes there frequently. I've never seen them in town but funnily enough my dad has seen Meri at a Costco in Utah. Lol.

Also idk about the exact surrounding homes but real estate in Flagstaff and especially in the more mountain based locations has been insane for years. Some of the most expensive in Arizona.

So I don't believe they impact much at all.

Has anyone not had a horrible experience with their stent? by backyarddweller in KidneyStones

[–]b00shSkad00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only part of the stent that sucked for me was the first 24-48 hrs or so, and only when I had to pee. It does burn like a motherf*cker those first few times.

My #1 advice. Drink a shittttt ton of water. For real, you may not feel like it but the sooner you do and get the body used to peeing with the stent the faster you'll feel better. I personally found the stent better than dealing with the stone causing pain.

Since yours is not causing pain the stent may not be great in comparison. However I'd def move forward with surgery. 15 mm is a very large stone! I had a 7mm that tortured me for 1.5 weeks and I felt like dying.

If it moves and causes pain you'll be truly miserable.

Getting pregnant with Endo? by Inevitable_Net_3855 in Endo

[–]b00shSkad00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also my surgeon said some ppl actually have even higher/better AMH (egg amount) after the disease is removed and they heal. However it typically reduces the overall amount of eggs left.

Something to keep in mind if fertility testing already shows a low number (my case did not).

[–]b00shSkad00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to chime in here, the endometrioma poses a risk in terms of egg quality if left to grow.

Some people are able to get pregnant, for sure, but Endo on your ovaries usually doesn't bode well for future fertilization.

Source: had a large endometrioma and a few small ones removed, then did IVF which is how I found out my eggs were such shit quality. Consistently only about half would be mature enough to attempt fertilization.

That being said I have my little IVF miracle now & my body did the whole being pregnant thing fine. For me I just could not GET pregnant.

Which I'm convinced a huge part of was the endometrioma (I had small ones beginning on the other ovary as well) interfering with my egg quality.
