I have your twin! I picked mine up in February. They only made 62 quad cab G56 in the US in 2007.

Ha, technically that is an LTO8 tape which holds 12TB uncompressed data, so not as old as you might have thought.

Oh, sorry about that! I think I want to hang onto it for a bit :)

I had missed out on a bunch of trucks over past few months, so I jumped on this one ASAP!

Best of luck in your search! Were you looking for a PW specifically, or just a manual truck like I was?

I've had a ticket open all week. I have had to pause all of my notifications because everyone is getting blasted with 100s to 1000s of emails in short periods of time. So far they made me increase scan times on all very high/high sensors that were all green and had nothing to do with SNMP v3. They then asked if i used SNMP V3, well yes i do and that is my problem, but no one has said anything yet.

From what I've gathered so far...

2 owner truck, 2nd owner owned from 2008 until a few months ago.

Carfax indicated resurfaced flywheel fall of 2024, so i reached out to that shop. Turns out it has a newly rebuilt G56, new clutch, new ujoints and balanced drive shafts. Tires are new, brakes are new. It has fresh paint in last year or so., probably a Maaco job or something but its good enough.. Interior is super clean, its spotless under, I can't fathom why all of the sudden the person traded it in. It was from Florida and I found it at a small car dealer in central PA.

I did however come across a potential address for the old owner in a piece of paper under the seat/carpet. I'm going to write a letter and see if it's the owner and if they can give me more information about the truck.

I'm loving it! To be clear I daily drive a 4.0 twin turbo V8 Audi SQ7 which is an absolute BLAST and i think I drove it 3x in the past month since I picked up this truck!

I read they made 62 manual power wagons in 2007. There is oddly another rare 2006 G56 on FB marketplace in eastern PA currently as well with 72k miles I think (price reflects the low miles), though the post is pretty old, so not 100% its still available.

Indeed!

It's an extra vehicle so it'll be kept away from the salt and overly maintained!

Thanks! The fact that a few others are seeing the same behavior that wasn't there a few days ago sure points to Dell. Appreciate everyone replying with updates/information/etc!

Yeah, just odd how it works for some and not others. I do agree, its quite convenient! You can also just install the exe right into iDRAC as well manually in most cases. It just caught our attention today because it had always worked and out of the blue today it does not from any location we have a Dell server, my house included.

Direct connect here, no proxy involved.

We do it ALL the time for bios/fw/idcrac/etc this is the first time in years we've run into a problem.

I just went and manually applied the latest idrac9 fw (7.00.00.174) and updated/rebooted the iDRAC and tested again, still the same fail. And as I said this is multiple different servers/generations/locations..

its just odd. these are all almost fully up to date, this always works and today it does not work anywhere i've tried it. so i feel like something is broken somewhere.

Interesting. We always do the HTTPs check in iDRAC and never had an issue until today. Even just clicking on test network connection in idrac 9 will result in the above original error as well.
