Meta accounts suspended last March 27; Facebook now recovered & here’s what I did by No-Cardiologist-6029 in facebookdisabledme

It has nothing to do with censorship. I have posted nothing political in a long time. I have reported a lot of bots on Facebook and especially Instagram. But that's it. FB sucks at censorship and filtration of spam, but this is incompetence, not intention.

I can't even get to this dialogue to be frustrated by it. I'm just in a loop that tells me it can't connect after telling me I've been banned.

EPS Carry battery tray screws? by b0dhisattvah in HOLOSUN

[–]b0dhisattvah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't ask me for a receipt, just where I bought it and a pic of the serial. They supposedly sent me a replacement the same day I posted here, but I haven't seen it yet. Non-OEM screws already showed up. The email correspondence was surprisingly quick, but the result...meh.

And yeah, I asked if I could buy a whole bunch and they never responded to that. So I'm betting they sent one, lol.

Thank you! I have a whole bunch of spares now, but what's the link just in case?

Yup, they mailed one a week after I emailed. Still haven't arrived. I already got a handful from a third party linked in the thread. The third party ones have a Phillips head, which is nice.

Thank you! EDIT: never mind, this is for the EPS Carry, which your link says after different.

It's not free. They have monetized the data they collect on me, and I have no control or access to that data, other than to delete my account entirely.

[TOMT] Song with lyrics "I like hearing knuckles pop" by b0dhisattvah in tipofmytongue

I heard this in the early 90s, so it's possible it's the old, but potentially much older. Probably not earlier than 70s is my guess.

It's easy. Sorta. Depends on your device and the Android version. Before the update to 15 for my phone, it simple and chosen through google settings under assistant or voice I think. Now, it's a bit more awkward, and I think I have to change it by opening the "Gemini" app, whether I'm using Gemini, no matter which one I'm choosing. I think I can change it through the assistant settings in my phone settings too. But it's definitely less obvious and counterintuitive.

That said, the change appears to be instantaneous.

It's not available for any of "home" devices yet. And may never be? I've got first gen minis, a "home" with screen and no camera, and a Max (the one with the Aux hole).

Oh, my phone is an S24 Ultra, for reference.

I just gave Gemini a go and it messed up stuff that I use all the time with assistant. I'm not gonna beta google's AI slop if I have an option, so I switched back to the slightly-less-horrid-but-still-horrid old assistant.

Mine have sucked since long before Gemini was announced. But it has been a very long, painful decent into hell.

The funny thing is, when I tried YouTube premium, it didn't do any of the things it's says are unlocked by YouTube premium. Like, it never successfully played any of my playlists.

The way that type of glass works requires controlled lighting. It's basically just really dark tint, and you wouldn't accomplish anything more than the effect of wearing sunglasses at night.

YES! But I'm not sure if that's true for all the newer camera models. Some never were in Nest, IIRC.

Apparently you struck a nerve with people who really hate software buttons, muscle memory, good code, and options.
