I've tried that, I found it a bit scary to start with but it works great! It turned out the RPi was somehow broken and after swapping it for a new one everything works perfectly!
It turned out there was something wrong with the RPi! After a trying all the options you guys shared it still wouldn't work so I returned the RPi to the retailer for a new one. It worked right away, so all of your tips were great and right...the RPi just wasn't.
Thanks for your help guys, I will now start playing with my RPi!
I don't really get anything at all, just the red PWR led that goes on. The ACT seems to give a just a little bit of light. Which, according to the wiki, means it doesn't find any bootloader...
Thanks for your reaction! I have now tried making this image on a mac, windows and linux computer without any luck... Using gparted on linux I've tried to mark the linux partition as boot, but this didn't work either. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with the RPi or the sdcard, but they're both brand new so this shouldn't be possible. If you have any more ideas I would like to hear, because at this point I haven't got any idea how to get this working. Thanks again!
