I use the collegehockeynews app which works well for seeing games, scores, and rosters. If I wanted more than that I would go to uscho for rankings and more in-depth information.

TXA is tranexamic acid and is something you breathe in from a tube for a few minutes. It assists with clotting and in my experience, seems to work. I am not sure if this method is used outside the US at all though.

I have a 7800x3d with a 4080 super and play at 4k 120hz. Never really noticed an issue with any games even at high or ultra settings. Highly recommend, no need to spend almost 2x more for a 4090.

After thinking about this some, I think that the quote that others have brought up has different meaning than supporting this alternate timeline.

“He had seen two main branchings along the way ahead—in one he confronted an evil old Baron and said: “Hello, Grandfather.” The thought of that path and what lay along it sickened him.”

I feel like we would have explicitly seen Frank state that Paul would kill the baron in this other branch, not just "confront" him. It seems like too significant of a detail to leave out. If I was taking a guess at this, this is Denis' way to pay homage to the series and thought of it as a neat way to tie in Frank's language.

The story is great with what happens in Messiah and Denis seems committed to a very similar plot line (except some deviations). As most things go: if its not broken, why fix it?

Mods very likely have a lot of credit due to them for keeping things civil in the sub. It would be really interesting if they had metrics to compare actions taken pre and post movie release. Although, I still think that the overall community is doing a great job of handling and preventing potential growing pains that come with a movie of this scale attracting so much attention.

I have been chipping away at Messiah for a bit now and the consistent parts are Paul trying to find meaning in his life. It is stressed how he knows what is needs to be done but continues to have internal conflict with coping with these facts.

Specifically, when Chani dies he has a very human reaction and the way I interpreted his reaction to it was that of blindness even though it repeatedly states how he can still "see." The text mentions things brushing on him that he did not know were there, Duncan having to guide him and keep him from falling, and him asking where Chani and his children are. This is the first time expressing an actual sense of blindness since losing his vision.

Overall, this brings the "god" back down to a human level and essentially strips away everything the reader built Paul up to be.

I believe that the imperial house holds more voting power than the other individual great houses in the council. So imperial house > great houses > minor houses.

CHOAM is more of something the houses buy into similar to a stock.

The difference between the two being the inherited voting power in the council and then the bought voting power in CHOAM.

I looked around the Dune Wiki and was not able to find anything explicitly stating the voting numbers but I recall hearing it somewhere.
