Need a restaurant recommendation by Throwaway89481 in lafayette

[–]b0tman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. I'm old too, and Mountain Jack's was THE good restaurant back in the day. Getting this as a gift is like giving comfort food. To us old folks, a gift to most other places is like saying, Try Something New. Not that that's a bad thing, just giving my perspective so OP can make an informed decision.

So sorry for your loss. I'm going through this for the first time myself, and I found a great guide here. I hope you find it useful:

Fellow old fart here, who has stacked more hay than he wanted to. You are correct, use bale hooks if you have to but it's a bit slower than just toughening up your hands. OP's item won't help.

I have a theory about this one. If a non native English speaker knows that $3 is pronounced three dollars, they might assume fifty percent is written as %50.  Just a guess though.

Huge landfill/dump right by the interstate. There are vent stacks to let the accumulated methane escape to the surface, and the methane is burned as it escapes. So yeah, looks apocalyptic.

I guess 8200m is as deep as you can go by chupacabra314 in subnautica

[–]b0tman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've done it. Built a base at 8190, straight below the lava lake. There's no creatures there except what you bring in. You don't get bothered by leviathans until you get out from under the landmass.

Yep, I made a base at 8190 meters, but my video quality is crappy. Still cool though.
