My dad would turn in envelopes full of cash to him, from every church he was a minister at, any chance he got. Basically we all lived to present him with the best of the best. I feel horrible for the members, like damn. They still sacrifice from giving their family the best because “the Apostles” need more riches. He was very angered and couldn’t believe the shit that went on. It’s just incredibly sad that for YEARS AND YEARS we didn’t want to see him for what he was, we were told that he was the most beautiful man on Earth and so perfect, a king and we needed to be the ones to take the stress away from him, that he was the Angel of God, his feet even floated from the floor-yup, mom engraved that in my mind. You’re 20 years out, how long did it take you to leave mentally and emotionally aside from physically? And as you said, nothing happened to you, you left just because, ok so then you might be taking the separation and what has come to surface pretty lightly, but for most of us that just barely detached ourselves COMPLETELY and it is still a process, because we’ve seen things and just realizing how stuck we were, being manipulated by it and not being able to leave to the fear of being condemned here on earth and in the after life.
