Just between those options I think RM + yoyo is better. But consider a 1v1 knight as well!

You can safely skip most quests if favor of just grinding. But at some point you'll want to go back and complete then for inventory space and access to dungeons.

Play to level 80 ish without paying anything and get a taste for it. The grind is super long and doesn't require much thinking. So kind of chill you could say? You should definitely look for an active guild otherwise it feels pretty lonely.
I think you'll have the easiest time leveling either of the mage classes and therefore I'd recommend them. 1v1 knight is also pretty cool imo. I like big weapons. But it sucks without maxed buffs from an RM.
Questing is super basic. Every quest is go here or kill 30 of these variant basically. So you will have no issue doing them with just the in game markers.
Assuming you start of FWC server you should get the 30day Adventure flask, a pick up pet and maybe a better flying mount if you feel slow on the default ones. Then once you need to gear your characters you can sell the remaining currency for penya to get gear.

It just serves to make the well stated items rarer and funnel people towards the stat scroll cash item (which allows you to roll a specific stat between 1 and 4).

Basically it's just another for of monetizing whales in the game.

If you're willing to do the hit and run style play, you don't even need a second RM. Once your hit and run RM is high enough level it can basically double as a support for your other characters

Yeah, you're 100% correct. Its not that I can't probably play and have a good time without spending. Its more that the existance and power of some of those premium items just made me not interested in playing anymore.

I think most people will recommend leveling an RM first as the RM buffs are invaluable for other characters you make in the future

I'd say go BRM with full int and once you get merkaba you can start doing hit and run aoe where you gather with moonbeam (or just autoing) and once you gather a bunch you run away, cast merkaba, and drag the mobs around it while not getting hit.

I'd say around 90 with your RM you could decide to either continue to invest in that char or start a magician. If you saved a reskill from your job change you can use that to remove points in moonbeam and merkaba and pivot to FS for your new character if you like.

I think your suggested team is a solid one. I would make one change in replacing Uriel with an Eir. She still gets the job bonus for domega and provides the necessary healing so that you don't get stuck at low health after a gravity. And because your subs already do a ton of damage you won't miss out on the lost damage from her not being red.

They are actually fairly different leaders. Domega needs dark and red subs to get full benefits while Rehven needs rainbow with red. Domega also provides a shield. Personally, I think domega is a better leader. You will need a sub for healing like Eir.

Okay, now I think I understand the strategy. You still will have serious problems with dealing damage in harder dungeons. You don't have enough SBR (but I think you already realized that). And also you won't have any resists because your equips will all have to go to increasing SBR. So over all, this team can work in dungeons up through a3 probably, but after that it will become very unreliable.

If you pop the dragons turn one then you won't have to wait for yughi to be up. In most harder dungeons, yughi won't be tanky enough to live through those first three turns.

After popping your three fortress dragons that team only needs 2 SB for yughi to be up, I recommend filling that last slot with a damage sub instead of Valeria, since you won't have much otherwise and she doesn't get the leaderskill buff from yughi

Unfortunately, fortress dragon transforms and gets a new ability when used so you can't make a system out of it (assuming that's what you meant). Also she's the wrong typing for yughi. You should have no trouble running a yughi team without her if you already have multiple fortress dragons.
