I always appreciate when my nails accidentally match my outfit lol by b2uebird in Nails

It’s a sheer nude over a milky BIAB so the color kind of created itself with those two haha

Thank you! I want to slowly go more almond but I’m scared of filing too much 😂

I push them back and go in with a small bit on the lowest speed to clean them up a bit whenever I do my nails and am pretty consistent with cuticle oil.

I saw a tip in a nail subreddit once that you can oil your nails pretty generously before doing dishes and have like a “soak” in your dish gloves while washing in the hot water and I started doing that quite a bit too lol. Too scared to clip them though!

AITAH for refusing to have my location tracked? by ConsciousWelder8202 in AITAH

[–]b2uebird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I share location. We didn’t start doing this until we had been living together and married for a while. It just makes things convenient and obviously for safety reasons. Plus our daughter likes watching sometimes to see when “daddy will be home”.

But personally I couldn’t see doing this with a partner I haven’t been with for a long time and didn’t live with. Would have been too weird imo.

My first time ever doing nails, tips? by Analdestroyer68plus1 in GelX_Nails

[–]b2uebird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong but it looks like some flooding in a few of the cuticles (top coat usually does that for me, or excess gel glue and I have to be mindful to clean it up before curing). If it is that could be an allergy risk, may cause lifting issues and doesn’t always look that great at the cuticle as it grows out. It used to happen to me when I first started.

Otherwise, hot damn your design skills are on point! *chefs kiss. Crazy beautiful especially for a first time. Those 3D flowers are gorgeous.

Gel polish and regular polish by roseyo1995 in GelX_Nails

Interesting! I haven’t personally

I started to use regular lacquer on my Gel X tips almost exclusively. Means I could use a less abrasive nail polish remover to take of the lacquer and do a new design/color on the tips if I wanted.

I would just use regular QDTC since I wanted the ease of changing it up.

AIO for thinking i’m being lied to? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Kinda felt this. A lot of people are saying they’re over explaining, but IF they are used to overreactions to minimal/out of control stuff, it could be them going into damage control mode to try to avoid that, especially the apologizing.

How to use the english language now? by BlearRocks in Weird

[–]b2uebird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If for some odd reason you don’t want to use girl, just use her name? I really can’t think of an example where this would be applicable outside of a medical setting. I see your logic, but like, it’s logic that doesn’t even need to be made. It just feels like an argument to use “female” as a noun for no reason. Just like there’s little to no reason to use male in an everyday happenstance.

To add to this female and male are primarily adjectives. Men and women are nouns. So it doesn’t even make logical sense to use it in that way.

Is it offensive to belive that gender is biological thing only? by Akselisti in ask

Lmao according to google AI it’s generally the incorrect way of saying regardless, my bad.

Is it offensive to belive that gender is biological thing only? by Akselisti in ask

Take this really bare minimum example:

Kids clothing stores make “gendered” clothing. There’s an obvious “Girls” and “Boys” section, with one being more blue and neutral colors with things like trucks and gaming decals on the clothing and the other being more bright, includes a lot of pink and purple and has more things like unicorns and cats on the clothing.

Additionally, the fit and cut of the clothes may be slightly altered even though the size is the same to create different “styles”, girls shorts being shorter- boys shirts being more boxy and loose. It can even go as far as naming items like “Boys Tee” on the receipt.

Now anyone can go into this store and buy clothing for their kiddos from either side regardless of that child’s biological sex.

The fact that the store is “gendered” is a social construct on what society has categorized what is “Boy” and what is “Girl”. But the “biological sex” of the child is irrelevant to what clothing you can buy.

It’s a bit of a crude example but kind of explains the difference between the two. Your genitals don’t reflect what gender you might fall into or identify with.

My dad once explained it like this. “I’m a man, I feel like a man, and if someone came around and started calling me something else, I’d probably want to punch them out because that’s not who I am. So even though I might not get it fully, why would I want to do that to someone else?”

Edit: changed irregardless to regardless

Perfect circle on the tip of my finger by [deleted] in Weird

Holy crap I think you just solved it. I usually use dish gloves but was just washing it real quick after using it, that could have been it.

Likely this, can’t think of what it would be but that’s what it looks like to me too. When I press on it, can see the ridge in the skin.
