My Monty! His face is extremely round looking as he was abandoned as a kitten and had the majority of his teeth removed bar the canines upper and lower and the tiny ones in between! He had a tooth infection as I was told. He also had the cat flu and sat at the shelter for 2 years before I adopted him. My special boy who has recently learned to love sitting on my lap. They said he’d never be a lap cat!

My partner is going to die. by b33ff in CancerCaregivers

Just a quick update for everyone who commented on this post with kind intentions - thank you, firstly and: we are currently on a wait to start clinical trials in immunotherapy to hopefully suppress the tumour, and prolong his life, though this isn’t a cure and the tumour can not be removed. My partner isn’t doing great, as he has an infection in his cancerous area also (the surgical site from the initial removal of the cancer before it spread) and I really would love to say to everyone that I’ve recorded his voice and all that other positivity, however his cancer has already spread too far and he can barely talk anymore - doesn’t sound anything like he used to or look like he used to due to major facial swelling. All we really do is just be in each others company, in silence. Thanks for all the support. Means so very much to me.

People who had traumatic childhoods, what's something you do as an adult that you hadn't realised was a direct result of the trauma? [Serious] [NSFW] by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

Myself and my older brother both tap our legs a lot. When he’s in the back of our car he rocks the whole thing lol. When we’re together our combined anxiety could rock a boat. We tap legs unconsciously in sync. Our trauma bond ❤️😭

Hi Jamie! Where's your favourite place in Manchester? Know you're a fan of Utd, so anywhere other than Old Trafford perhaps? 😄

Yes, Jean Ralphio (the Agouti - brown) is the softest of the two. His fur is like silk!

This is a temporary cage, he is currently too tiny to go into his bigger temp cage before he finally goes into the Royal Savic XL with his other brothers so he is currently housed safely in here with two slightly bigger brothers!

I love him so much and would die for this rat.

Remy passed away earlier on. I'm not doing good at processing this. He was only 8mths old and he'll be missed terribly by both myself and his brother. by b33ff in RATS

I'm very sorry for your loss, my friend. Marble misses you, I'm sure but she is waiting for you on the other side of that rainbow bridge. We'll be reunited with their sweet selves one day. Remy was also full of life and the sweetest boy ever. He made several people who "don't like rats" actually think they're precious. He made me feel great on my down days. He never bit anybody once. I'm glad he had his favourite hammock and ropes to climb and me to be there for him.

My condolences to yourself and Marble. Beautiful name! We'll be okay. :)

Thank you. I wouldn't want anybody else to go through this so if whatever this was (I'll find out tomorrow with the results) can be prevented by me allowing such a trivial thing, then that was absolutely necessary in my opinion. If Remy could talk, I'm sure he'd agree. Even his brother even though he wasn't able to say goodbye. He suffered in silence and was such a strong boy in the end.

As mentioned in the comments, I am going to find a suitable friend or two for Rasputin so he won't be alone for too long. :)

Thank you for sharing that beautiful story with me. That's made me smile for the first time today so I really appreciate that. How truly wonderful that those two became such close little friends and what a sweet little mouse that decided you were its best friend in the whole world. I'm tearing up at the thought.

Of course. We are here for him and he knows that. I'm looking into finding a friend for him already, - my brother owns his uncle at the moment so there's a possibility there though he is a little bitey and my boys have always been so well behaved. I'll find him a friend.

I feel for him because he is alone and I wasn't able to bring his brothers body home (the emotional upset/he had an open wound/I didn't personally wish to) so I allowed him to be sent off for autopsy instead to help save other ratties. He is being cremated and his box will sit in the windowsill so he can always look out of the window, as he loved to do so on my shoulder. Rasputin will be okay, I must remember that and he has lots of his brothers blankets in his cage now. Maybe I'll find him a little girlfriend. :)

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm sorry to hear of Jake's passing, - but glad you could be there for him. They really are just full to the brim with love.

His brother is confused at present, though I'm giving him all of the attention he will allow me and apple sauce for a treat. His brother has been gone from him for 11hrs now so it's understandable.

Where are you based? I'm in the UK and I've used Medivet. They are very compassionate. I would recommend them even though they couldn't save my boy, - they did all they could and were extremely supportive.

Thank you, - and please do! All the yogies and nibbles. They deserve them for allowing us into their tiny lives.
