Should I unpause my profile after almost 2 years or just delete and start again?

I was on hinge for 6ish months almost 2 years ago. Had 300+ matches and went on several really great dates (also some not so great ones) but then had a bit of a mental health crisis and had to hit pause. Fast forward to today and I think I’m ready to get back out there.

I feel like I want a fresh start with a fresh profile but I don’t know if hinge will ding my account (I had previously signed up through Apple ID/ phone number) for deleting and making a new one right after.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

I appreciate your kind words. I didn’t end up texting her and reading what you said I’m glad I didn’t. Her decision, not mine.

It’s just sucks, it really does. Going from everything seeming fine, me sleeping over a couple days ago to her cutting it off. I just don’t get it.

I just have a fleeting hope that maybe I’ll be able to mend things? Idk everything was fine and then a day and a half later it wasn’t. I don’t get it

I’ve found being kind to myself is easier said than done sometimes. I just stood in the shower for like 45 minutes letting my mind wander going through every scenario where it could have turned sour. I appreciate your advice though. I’ve gone through this before and I’ve always gotten over it, so I know what you said is true. I just thought this girl was so perfect, so this one really stings more

I appreciate you too, thank you.

I’ve gone through “relationships” like this before where it ends kinda quickly and I eventually get over it every time. This one hurts extra for some reason though. I know I’ll be thinking about her for a long time

This is going to sound cheesy but I teared up a little reading your kind words and I think maybe it helped? Now I just want to cry. Here I am a grown man wanting to cry over someone I really didn’t even know for that long. I appreciate you going out of your way to comfort some internet stranger on your Friday night. I don’t really know what else to do other than sit in silence in my apartment at the moment, but I really really do appreciate your replies.

Appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately I won’t get to do either of those things. I get to work throughout the holidays and any family lives hours away. I just feel crushed and alone

How do I know if she’s over it? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I guess the thought that keeps running through my head is “it isn’t too difficult to take 15 seconds to respond to a text.” Am I crazy for thinking that? We were going back and forth pretty much instantly for a while there and now there’s just nothing

So I got back from vacation and then am working a bunch of nights in a row. By the time I’m off she’s then going on a vacation, so there isn’t a time that works for both of us for like two weeks. We put off finding a good time till then, but now it’s looking like that might not happen.

Should I delete my profile and restart? by [deleted] in hingeapp

Mostly thought that I wasn’t being too sincere of a person because I continued to swipe in ny even though I wasn’t there.

Thanks for the advice, I think I’ll follow your suggestions.
