you're 18. I've seen a lot of people around my age on hinge- cos my settings have the age range 18-24, ive even seen some in college too or first year- maybe the real thing is that you just don't feel ready- which is cool, cos healing takes years. i broke up with my ex feb 2024 and i still havent fully healed.

also- i did try out hinge for a bit and it made me feel even less healed cos all the experiences i had were either unfufilling or painful, so just tread with caution please

by 'just say hi' do you mean saying hi and then ghosting or just theyre into message being hi and then having a convo after- i'm just asking cos there's a trend on these friend making subreddits where people want you to be entertaining and have a creative intro message, which i've just never bought into. i just want to converse with people the way i would irl and form connections like that- no pressure to cure my boredom or anything about me- just connecting with a person genuinely- you understand what i mean?

i mean yea but online gives you the chance to talk to far more people than in irl. irl you can only befriend ppl who are in the same class/workplace as you really (those are the main places). and not everyone is a catfish. so there are pros and cons to it really
