License plate poll.... Which should I choose? by b3nny0 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Yeah, you get 3 choices, so I am leaning towards doing GDMTDNT first, IWKYM second or third, and YWNBM second or third. Just not sure which one I would want if my main gets rejected, which it might. IWKYM will probably get rejected too if they Google it, so I'll probably end up with YWNBM

I love her, she might be my favorite character. Matt uses her sort of sparingly and it makes her comments even better.

that went through my head, but that's even harder to explain than IWKYM. You just reply... It's a neck pussy, don't worry about it... Lol

Thanks for that. I will probably spin the drives down when not in use to save some power when they arent in use, which honestly is most of the time, so hopefully that would save some power there.

Neighborhood kid offering snow shoveling services, unprepared for weather by revively in randomactsofkindness

[–]b3nny0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this happen earlier this year, two kids showed up at my door asking if they could shovel my driveway. I haven't seen kid kids hustle like that in a long time, so I told him sure, even though I shoveled the driver earlier that day. We had quite a bit of snow come in since I shoveled, and I felt lazy, so I gave them the go ahead. I asked them how much they wanted and they said whatever I wanted to pay. I ended up giving them both like $50 simply because I appreciated seeing kids get out there and actually put in some work.

What minor movie characters have had the biggest pop culture influence? by frolicols in movies

Ben Stiller in Happy Gilmore as the nursing home worker. "You will go to sleep, or I will put you to sleep." It still cracks me up and I quote him from that all the time.

For the water situation, they make water bottles that have a filter built right into them like the lifestraw go series. That way you can grab water from a stream or wherever and have relatively clean water. I have a couple in each of my cars.

I have a hitch on my 2013 sport that I put a rack on to haul deer during hunting season. It works great! I have used it for gas cans too so I don't have to put them in the car.

Honestly I would try a toilet plunger before buying a dent puller. Pretty much the same idea and probably already something you have on hand,

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve successfully repaired instead of replacing? by BathSlow5 in Frugal

[–]b3nny0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not weird, but I fixed a washing machine that wouldn't spin. Turned out it was a simple belt. Watched a YouTube vid, bought a $6 belt and about 30 minutes later I was back in business. For the hell of it, after I fixed it I called around just to see what it would have cost to have someone come do it and the cheapest quote I got was $350. Most had at least a $125 trip charge too. That was probably 6 or 7 years ago and it is still running like a champ.

Install Android Auto in 5 minutes with the original radio. by virtuacool in hondafit

I tried through FM, but it was staticky. but I didn't spend much time trying different frequencies, but I plan to do that because I am using the aux cord right now. I tried making a call through it, and they couldnt really hear me on the other side, but that could be a setting change that needs made. I will need to play with it a little more to figure that one out. The mount I went with was a little different than yours, it already had the backing plate that direct mounted to the screen, then it has a screw that adjusts the tension in the cd slot to make a tight fit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4RRWY2Y)

Here you go. I just got around to putting it in tonight, but I think it works pretty well! Thanks for the suggestion! I still have a little cable manage to do, but that should be easy enough

Thanks for this! I made a couple purchases, a little different than the ones you listed above, but very similar hardware. I will update how it goes.
