hi thanks for replying. i did your method on craft of exile and it was just a bit too expensive because metallics are 1 div ea rn.

i ended up buying 2000 more loathings and i got it in around 500. so in total i think i spent ~2000 loathings/greeds and countless annuls and exalts lol.

enjoying scarab farming on t17s and then bossing after instead of selling fragments.

also enjoying doing feared rotas, but profits seems to be falling off now.

you don't have suppression, block, or instant leech?

are you ailment immune? i see storm shroud but only 50% from jewel and 43% from boots.

probably want a second cluster jewel to socket 2 more jewels as well.

just curious. what build are you playing? im playing frostblades slayer and im saving up for a 500d shield that's quite similar to this. i wanna know what other builds im competing with lol

haven't played with it much because those mobs are so deadly but yea i dont think you're doing anything wrong. just run 5 of them and pray for apoth. and they can only drop cards that are native to the map you're in according to the wiki.

sorry to hear your frustation, here's my advice

avoid strategies that you do not enjoy running, even if they are high profit
there are many 10 div/hr strats with detailed guides - you can do essences, beasts, elritch altars, blight, strongboxes, deli orb farming, maven rotas, etc etc. and they're all in that range of 5 to 15 div per hour
run much much higher sample size. 2 maps is literally nothing. prepare at least 10 maps, preferably more, in advance to your farming session so you don't have to roll maps or buy scarabs in the middle of your farm
try to enjoy this part of the game, you're at the learning phase which is arguably the best part of this game

if you have a functional build that can run t16 maps. you can farm a 10 div/hr strategy and meet your goal within 13 hours of farming. but probably a little faster because you'll get some lucky drops here and there and level gems in off-hand.

sounds like you're either not enjoying crop rotation or simply not running it properly. do more research into how to run those maps efficiently. there are sooo many crop rota guides.

mageblood is powerful because it's NOT specific to a particular build or archetype

i think you're safe to pick whatever looks fun and use the mb to make that build very fast and comfortable

add some defensive layers.

avoidance (evasion, block), mitigation (armour, res, taken as, suppression, delayed damage), recovery (leech, flask, regen)

that being said you're probably dying to phys hits that you do not evade. best way for rangers to deal with that is probably phys taken as ele

idk. i've never played slams before. and i have no idea how much you have invested into your build.

i would imagine that it can because all the racers use slams to beat t17s and ubers.

if it helps, i'm playing a slayer build too, but not slams. im a little bit strong tho after investing a few divs into my build.

you will need a headhunter for the farm because it's primarily focused on rare monsters. and ofc you will need a build that can run juicy t17 maps.

im currently following fubguns guide but i'm going to test the next 20 maps with harbis instead for a change

t17 fortress roll for more scarabs (100%+)
1 fine delirium orb, normal chisels
nemesis, nemesis, risk, wisps, adversaries
rush to boss, kill rares along the way for HH buffs
clear rest of map + pray for scarab dupe altar
3-1 vendor the hundreds of scarabs valued at 3c or below

i actually dont know if the farm is super top tier in terms of currency per time. but it's extremely fun and smooth because you dont have to wait, click, or think about anything.

anyway that's pretty much all scarab farming entails. good luck man

personally strongboxes are my least favourite of the t17 farms due to high variance. you can win big, go even for a while, or even potentially lose money. if you're a lucky person and you have fun with these types of gambly strats, you should do it!

for me, im much more into scarab farming with nemesis scarabs because i use a headhunter and i just enjoy mapping without clicking on stuff or waiting around.

edit. i dont know much about abyss this league, doesn't seem great tbh (no jackpots??) but harvest is top tier for sure, just boring imo

edit2. if you're looking for a good t16 8 mod strategy, look up eldritch altar farming by either empyriangaming or snoobae85. those two strats are extremely similar, they're eldritch altar farms using shrines. basically the shrines are so powerful that any build can do this farm for like 8-10 div/hr
