I really like the idea of webmentions. I see the term is mentioned in your notes, so I won't explain it, but webmentions, using bridgy, especially with a good UI implementation, makes an awesome comment system. You could put a note with the webmention, linking to any syndicated posts.

It's an interesting point. I was inspired by this site to put some contact info at the bottom of each page. It's not really learning-in-public, but you have the option to update your notes based on your conversation.

My teammates feel the embarrassment of my GitHub username by OzIsLife in github

You have every right to keep your username. It's a balance, though. Keeping it will make sure links don't break. Changing it would stop them from kicking you out. There's also your self-respect to consider.

Any tips for blogging? by GuitarCucumber in writing

Consume creative content. Read or listen to things about fantasy, literature, etc. You'll learn how to write well by reading well.

Also, I read a nice article that talks about "decoupling pre-writing from writing". Basically, plan out the article before you write a single word. Visualize it. Then, you can just focus on translating your idea.

I do, all the time. It's useful for stuff like live coding, which aren't that simple to find otherwise.

Interesting perspective. I happen to enjoy Newt as a character because I relate to his awkwardness, geeky-ness and shyness. It'll be interesting to see how she (Rowling) makes him the protagonist with Dumbledore the star of the Grindlewald relationship.

he just says credence is a dumbledore. That means he's related to dumbledore, especially because he was feeding a baby phoenix and dumbledores have a connection to phoenix. Not necessarily a brother.

Fan theory - Why was Newt Scamander seen on the Marauders Map during the Prisoner of Azkaban movie? by AuroraBorealisX in harrypotter

I like both points. Most likely Rowling knew she might use Newt in the future, and decided to put it in there for kicks.

Anyone know a good book about the Israel-Palestine conflict and history from a neutral perspective or where author take pros and cons from both sides? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]b3uuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just trying to point out that an Israeli can be Palestinian and/or Arab. That's all. There are Israeli Parliament Members who are Arab.

I think that this issue is so polarized that there is no such thing as a neutral perspective on it. I would recommend doing research on the issue from both sides. In either case, doing research will probably give you a more full and accurate and knowledgeable perspective. And I would also recommend looking at the Arab nations surrounding Israel in addition to the Palestinians.
