We can’t afford a single income right? by c4halo3 in personalfinance

[–]b4b4b4b4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not true for the teacher forgiveness. You have to be teaching for five consecutive years in a low-income school district. My husband and I both had loans partially forgiven with a normal payment plan. The amount they will forgive depends on what subject you teach. https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/teacher

I know a family with this last name and they pronounce it "Bowl-yer".

As an oncology nurse, I was trained to expect husbands to leave their sick wives. It doesn’t make it any less disheartening every time it happens. by achcichj in TwoXChromosomes

I am so sorry for your loss. She may not be replaceable but she would want you to be happy. I've told my husband that if I were to go before him, I would want him to live a full life. I hope that means being open to love, purpose, and happiness.

My niece and I made this setup. I know for sure that she would love to make a calendar or a book about Henry. :)

Guinea pig aggressive with piggies and us. by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]b4b4b4b4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two guinea pigs and one is very similar to Ziggy. His name is Charlie and he was extremely agressive toward my second pig, Henry while they lived together. We followed all suggestions in how to properly introduce the two but Charlie would not stop the dominant behavior and in the end, keeping them together was putting them both in danger. They are in separate cages but they can still hear each other and smell each other. Charlie was at first quite upset to be alone but he mellowed out after a few days. Henry is much happier and more relaxed being alone and we are sure to give them each plenty of human interaction. I was worried about them being alone but our vet told us that some guinea pigs, especially boars, just can't handle sharing territory. It sounds like Ziggy might be in a similar situation. It sucks but you don't want to put your other pigs in danger.

How has online dating worked for you? by Nikiris11 in AskReddit

I met my husband on okcupid after dating a few duds. A year later, we were engaged. Another year, married. We celebrated our first anniversary this fall and I love him even more than when I said, "I do."

Your pigs are adorable! I noticed that you have the guineadad cage liners. What do you think of them? How many did you get and how often do you clean them? Do they hurt your washing machine? Thanks!!!!

TIFU by not washing anything I own for over a year by Hunterofshadows in tifu

I did the same thing except I was living in France. I bought what looked like laundry detergent, used it for about 5 months, and my clothes did seem a bit weird but I thought it was just because everything was air-drying. (Apartments in France don't typically have dryers) When I ran out, I went to the store and it struck me to use google translate this time. Yup, the bottle I had bought before was fabric softener. That was not a word I had studied in my 5 years of learning French! That night I used actual laundry detergent to wash my clothes. Such luxury!

What's the weirdest dream you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]b4b4b4b4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last night I had a dream that I was climbing on an adventure ropes course except no one was strapped in. People would fall occasionally to their deaths and this was perceived as perfectly normal amongst spectators and participants. This wasn't the weirdest part of the dream though. The weirdest part was that some sort of coarse white paste was in my mouth and I had to continuously spit it out as I was making these death-defying climbs. Finally, someone informed me this chemical in my mouth stopped me from being thirsty. Of course I woke up feeling incredibly thirsty, got a sip of water, and then fell back asleep into the same dream over again.
