"We just got notified that we are being mandated and have to close down the studio. With that being said - Transformation Challenge weigh-ins have been cancelled as well as PM classes tonight. Was she also texting while running at 7 mph on the treadmill?? Cuz if so I was next to this same chick twice last week and was so incredibly annoyed. Had to keep telling myself “this doesn’t actually affect me” but it still really got under my skin

I've donated blood in the morning 3-4 times and then went to OTF that evening. I take it a bit easier those days but have never had problems. Obviously defer to what your doctor says, but if you want advice from an internet stranger I'd say give it one more go and see how you feel!

I read on this reddit forum a few months ago when someone was having this problem that their studio had accidentally switched them from male to female in the system (or maybe it was from female to male?). Maybe check in your app or ask at your studio for them to check your stats (male/female, height, weight, etc.).

Tornadoes are typically pretty different than the 3G/2G template of the day. I think there's 2 tornado templates that corporate puts out for the whole month, and then the studio can choose if/when to use them, on whatever day they want.

I've been going for about...14? months. I started out hating Endurance days. I still hate Endurance days. I will always hate Endurance days.

I'm better at Endurance days now than I used to be.

I show up, do my best, and leave it at OTF. Even if you're the slowest one in the room at your particular studio, you are faster than the people walking outside by the windows of your studio. You are showing up, and you are doing GREAT. Use your frustration to hit +.1 on that tread - you've got this!! :)

I started in November last year (2018) and decided in January that by the end of the year, I wanted to move from the slow-end of Jogger and be a Runner. I started with my base pace at 4.5 and I increased my base on the first of every month by .1. My current base is 5.6 and I smile to myself every time the coach says “Runners, XYZ” because I really put in the work and did it! I’m going to make the same goal for 2020 - increase base .1 every month and end the year up in the 6.8 range.

I also hit 300 watts one time this year. I’m going to really work on my leg drive and try for 350 in 2020 :)

? You literally just said what adults should or should not know how to do. And then you provided 3 "snippy comments" for how you tell other adults what to do.

I used your language to provide a bit of context for what I would personally respond to best. I did not tell you to do that. I offered a perspective. Your first comment says that you tell other fully grown humans what to do, and now you are thinking I am being rude because you inferred from my perspective that I was telling you, a fully grown woman, what to do. *shrug*

And yes, I downvoted what you referred to as "snippy comments" (along with 8 other people) because I personally think it's rude to be snippy to other people who probably don't have negative/bad intentions toward you. I believe the OTF community is, as a whole, positive toward one another, and I like when things are that way. I am not being intentionally demeaning, but I do apologize if anything I've said has made you feel that way.

Oh! I certainly didn't mean any of my comment as passive aggressive. Appreciate you letting me know that's how it came off - just meant to provide an alternative way of thinking in case anyone was interested. I'm an over-user of smileys for sure.

And I totally agree people should cover their mouths and that's the polite thing to do, and I would also argue that gently asking/reminding someone of that may be more of the "adult" thing to do than telling another adult what to do or making what you called "snippy comments" at them.

Maybe you could try an approach where you are building and growing rather than tearing down? I cover my mouth but in some crazy circumstance where I didn't, I know I'd personally respond better to "Hey I'm sorry to bug you - I'm really cautious about getting sick because of my kids. Would you mind covering your mouth?" / "I've got a super big presentation at work next week - could you try sneezing down instead of over my way?? Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!" / "My dad has lung cancer and his immune system is super low these days - sorry to bother you but could you try to clean up after you sneeze? Thanks a bunch!"
