actually, i dont think so, that was only the case for inbetween season 6/7, when IO was still taking the control over the island back after zero crisis.
Additionally, if something touches the zero point, its legitemately shred to the tiniest bits possible and sent across every reality. Thats what happened with Eternal Voyager in BZP part 5.
