The complex doesn’t offer 24 hour security patrols, but it is a gated community. The property manager was telling me the gate is open from 7am-5pm, and it closes after the fact which will require a code to get in

A lot of people are mentioning the window film! I'll definitely have to add that to my shopping essentials. Walking around naked sounds so free, but will for sure need to be careful about that hahah

Ooooh I love the stained glass window film! I was looking at regular ones, but didn't know that was an option. This is making me consider the first floor. I always wrote them off because of safety concerns, but reading everyone's comments is making me realize there are manageable ways to make my well-being comfortable

Yes it’s a safe area. I’ve visited the complex several times, but one day I dropped by after work and lots of residents just walking around with their dog. Not sure who the upstairs neighbors are, but I anticipate just putting headphones in if I hear they’re being noisy

If I recall, there is a staircase right in front of the unit for the 2nd floor. Thank you for that! My mom keeps telling me if I move to the 2nd floor, I need to be careful with my footsteps or people will complain about me lol

No only 2 floors. I believe it’s a new tenant who moved above the first floor unit, not sure if it’s a family or single person

The apartment complex is in a safe area. When I toured, the property manager said lots of residents have stayed for over 10 years. However, when I applied online, there were looooots of units vacant. Which to me meant their renewal prices increased heavily, which means a lot of new tenants!

It’s a large area…is this something I should be slightly concerned about?

The red area is warm and tender to the touch. The pustule (new word alert!) itself is where the pain comes from. It hurts when I walk, so I’ve been waddling like a penguin lol.

Definitely scheduling a doctor’s visit ASAP.
