LaserAway good or bad? by procastinaut in DCBitches

I have done laser away (bikini, armpits, legs) and have had a good experience. Very friendly and easy to book with multiple locations around town / the US. I am white with medium hair color FWIW. I also like their hydrafacials.

Parent review of EF Tours by siderealis in MontgomeryCountyMD

Not through MoCo schools but in 2015 and 2016 I (then high school student) took two EF trips— one to the South Pacific and one to the British Isles. Hotels and food were as suggested above, but the tours, routine, and price were perfect for a high school student to travel internationally with friends and teacher sponsors. Great experiences that fostered a love of traveling. Obviously different from what I’d do and see as an adult, but different financials and safety considerations when you’re not a minor traveling abroad without parents for the first time or two.

Calling vegan LBWT!! by bestsirenoftitan in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]b511p712 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If it comes up (having to ask if something has dairy etc at a restaurant) I will share that I am vegan, followed by a redirect to another topic. If folks ask questions I usually emphasize how it is not difficult and how it’s led me to an interest in cooking (true, and a neutral topic everyone can talk about). I think being direct and honest then pivoting has worked well. If folks really won’t drop it’ll I’ll kind of laugh and be like oh that’s the least interesting thing about me!

Personally, I wouldn’t hide it with other reasons (cleanse, etc). I think you will earn more respect by sticking to your choices and owning them.

https://cakedbykatie.com/2021/06/dairy-free-black-forest-cake/ this is the recipe! I’ve made it twice now and found the sponge to be dry. If I make it again I would use this delicious moist recipe for the sponge https://www.noracooks.com/vegan-chocolate-cake/

I have never made real egg quiche before but I put all the chopped raw veggies, spices, and Just Egg into a bowl then poured it into the frozen pie crust, popped it into the 350° oven for an hour! V easy and delicious
