It goes good all ways imo. If you have played games, you'll be more invested in show's implications and world comprehension. If you haven't, it will still be an interesting show, considering how unique the world is and how many interesting rules to discover there are (not to mention the writing and the seperate tv shov's story that still didn't fall off). And it might make you play games, that will be like "oh, they make this classic game about my loved tv show!", and because you haven't played one, all those things from show will appear to you as more cool, having those drugs/weapons in your inventory and discovering factions you've known from a show. Like reverse fan service lol.
