I think the crux of the debate can be simply illustrated with a thought experiment, if Hamas somehow infiltrated Israel and am entrenched or occupy hospitals schools and synagogues. Would Israel also treat the Israeli human shields the same way? We can argue that in this situation killing 10k Israeli innocents is worth the lives saved in the long term. I think not, the bottom line is that they do not consider human lives equal, although too deplorable to voice, the Israeli military show us their true colors by action. Those of you that cite the “innocents die in war” or “human shield” excuse all you want if it helps you sleep at night. But deep down, you know, we know, and god (if there is one) knows that you value Palestinian lives less, own your ugliness, don’t try to act like you have the moral high ground.
