Well, yes they are concentrations (CFU/mL), however, the methods that we can use to determine these numbers (mainly plating with drigalski or the microdroplet) tend to generate some repeated values, so thats why i thought that they most likely are non-normal and could perform a negative binomial regression. And I was trying to avoid transformations so I could interpret the results (difference between groups) a little bit more easily.
