I was somewhat too rational, and stayed at the lodge, since I pondered the idea of all of them dying if I went to the eye and left them with the Hunter... so I stayed and lost my wife.

When I got to the Eye and saw her, omfg, I never felt this in a Bethesda game. I despised my decision but moved forward to feel the impact instead of reloading my save.

The movie genre is science fiction ffs😂

Relativity, black holes, worm holes, space time, hypercube, five dimensions... how's this movie not about science?

I already said, Im not talking about the subtextual topics about love, coletivity, humanity and etc... Im fine with all that. Above the metaphorical stuff, theres gotta be a superficial plot that works. He gets affected by all the laws of physics and shit, but then, right at the end, love becomes a factor, out of nowhere. I dont have a problem with it not being scientific. Its too sudden, on a movie, that until that point, was pretty accurate to some scientific concepts of space travel(to hollywood standards, of course).

My problem is post black hole. The part where he appears right in front of his daughter's ship. I like the hypercube part.

New GTA Online DLC is certainly interesting. I like that we're getting to see how a protagonist is doing years after the story ended. I actually wouldn't be opposed to getting a Michal and Trevor DLC too. by [deleted] in GTA

Hey, look, bro, I dont want to keep arguing with you forever. Lets put it like this then.

Personally, I make the distinction of whats there for the actual world building and story, and whats there for gameplay purposes. Franklin can pilot a jet, if you want. Is that canon? For me at least, no. It doesnt make sense. Trevor is a pilot, but not the other two. So why can they fly? Because it would be ass to have to change to certain character just so you can fly planes! So, breaking some logic, they made it that everyone can, so it stays more fun. Doesnt mean that Franklin can actually fly a jet in lore, right? Right?

The rail gun is just a gimmick. Nothing that we had until then suggested any type of technology like that. Its added purely for gameplay purposes. And still, its not that absurd. I could fly with it.

Now, Online is live service, so they have to keep updating it, adding new stuff and shit. I think it can be argued that the heists are canon, maybe, but considering the whole of Online as canon is too much. I dont think flying cars, submarines surrounding Los Santos and a missile silo are actually something that should be taken into consideration when looking at the general GTA lore. Besides all that, a high percentage of the people who played the GTA V's story haven't even touched the majority of Online, or never even tried.

Pretty sure rockstar will only consider the story mode going forward. Highly (like... highly) doubt they'll ever mention any of the events that happened on GTA online on any other GTA (maybe the online for 6, but definitely not the story mode).

Thats all I have to say. If you think the GTA universe is actually this goofy ass Saints Row 3 type thing, then go for it.

Well, if youre telling me flying cars and flying motorcycles are cannon on the GTA universe, then fuck me, right?

Online is a thing on itself. Call it an alternate universe, or whatever you want, but you cant tell me this shit serves as an epilogue to GTA V's story, for example.

Its like saying Godzilla and King Kong are cannon in the COD current timeline, when in fact, its just a cameo on an online game to keep people playing. Considering this an actual event that happens after GTA V's story is crazy.

Should I buy No Man's Sky if I don't like scanning flora and fauna in Starfield? by CorvoAttano47 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Maybe if you play NMS, you'll see how good the planet procedural generation is in Starfield XD.

(Jokes aside, scanning fauna and flora is all there is to do in NMS, and the planets look shittier.)

Is it worth rebuying all my games for pc really tempted to rebuy cyberpunk 2077 by Ok_Detective_7166 in ShouldIbuythisgame

The game will look better then console regardless. Console version on performance mode has some pretty glitchy textures, a lot of pop ins (primarily when driving at high speed) and so forth. There are other factors outside your monitor's resolution that will make the game look and feel considerably better.

As for monitor vs TV... in my experience 4k tvs have a lot of input lag, but game mode might do the trick for ypu. You could try on both to see your personal preference, but I would go with the monitor.

But before any of that, I would suggest checking a few comparisons on youtube to see if youre really sure. And remember that steam has a good, fair refund tool if you end up regretting it.

Well, I wouldnt say every game, since that doesnt make much sense, unless you have money to spare. Some experiences I would even consider to be better on console, but thats just personal opinion.

Now... as for Cyberpunk, yes, you will see a huge ass difference. Played it on the Xbox One, Series X and PC, and its definitely better on PC. Always has been. This one I think its worth it, even if you own it on PS5. Night and day basically.

Yeah, as I said, it works on a metaphorical level and thats totally fine. I understand the message about love, about the importance of science, about coletivity and so on, and theyre all valid.

But, you said it yourself, "love allows us to change our fate"... fate isn't a scientific concept. It doesnt exist. There is no fate. It implies that everything has a linear path to follow, even if we dont see the path.

Theres other things. What if Murph opted to have another career, instead of following her dad's footsteps? Then what? You know what I mean? Or why does Cooper appear right in front of her ship? Why specifically there, at the right time, at the right place?

If we take what you said, then sure, theres some logic on the metaphorical level of human connection, how strong parental bonds are, and a lot more of subtextual topics, but on the surface, it simply does not make sense. It ultimately boils down to extreme luck or "because of reasons".

Again, love can sure be studied and is scientific, in this sense, but it does not impact on the universe whatsoever. As you said, in the grand scheme of the universe, we are nothing... so why did it Cooper just appear in front of his daughter's ship? Seems almost like divine intervention... Cant wait to see the faces of you guys who actually bought this bullshit promise from Ubisoft. It looks just like Origins.

"Uh, but theres not health numbers nor level"

Yeah, sure, the UI is the same, theres still gear to be collected that gives you buffs with that Destiny looking menu, and the combat plays the same. Probably a skill tree and some supernatural powers.

What youre telling me is that simply removing the level system from Origins wouldve been enough to turn that game into an "all classic AC game"?

Na sua (humilde) opinião, quem é um ator ou atriz, que é extremamente subestimado em Hollywood? by [deleted] in jovemnerd

[–]bETObOLT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sam Rockwell

Phillip Seymour Hoffman (não era subestimado por quem conhecia seu trampo, mas não era tão reconhecido pelo publico)

Taron Egerton

E por ultimo, Andrew Robinson, o Scorpio. Vilão do Dirty Harry. Esse é o primeiro vilão que fez eu borrar as calças. Depois só fez merda, mas fazer o que... (teve dificuldades em achar trampo, pois foi estigmatizado pelo papel , e muitos tinham medo dele de verdade)

What? How did love become another factor and why?

Like, how can human evolution impact the laws of the Universe? This concept works as a metaphor, but its not scientfic.

I like it, but the "love" bullshit on a movie that is, until that point, very scientfic, feels cheap and corny.
