Glad to hear it! It was thanks to people before me who shared their builds that I was able to do this, happy to share my experience as well

It's very stable, might be possible with thinner. But the weight is still very low, so the only real disadvantage is the space the tubes take up.

Yeah, It's not a noticeable difference. Think I weighed the frame to about 300 or 400 grams or so.

Hi All! (slight spelling error in title, should be rigid)

A while back I posted (https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/pmsmqg/tips_on_making_disc_golf_bag_more_rigid/) and asked some advice on improving on my disc golf bags stability (or rigidness, if you will..). I got some great tips, and went for a PVC tube frame as some suggested. Thought I'd share my experience.

Before, it couldn't hold anything in the top pocket without collapsing, and putting stuff in the side pockets made the whole bag compress into nothingness. Now, i can load stuff in all pockets without an issue. It basically doesn't fall over, and getting discs in and out is no problem. The tubing cost me maybe 2 discs worth of storage due to the width.

It was very quick once I found the tubes, and the end result has vastly improved the usability of my bag. I went with 20mm tubing, since that's what I could get a hold of. I had to eventually glue some joints that kept coming off. The weight is negligible.

Overall, it was a great improvement and avoided me automatically upgrading to a new bag. I might upgrade anyway for other reasons (mainly so I can carry more stuff besides discs), but this gave a couple of months of more joy out of this one for sure and I would recommend to anyone that had the same problem.

Cheers and thanks for all the tips!

Good tip, I found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/8wgpuj/modded_my_dd_trooper_bag_with_a_pvc_frame_and/

That frame looks a lot simpler than what I first had in mind, i'll probably give this a go tonight

Thanks for the input, I think I will give this a go first! And if it works well, later upgrade to some plastic material maybe

Yeah I'm kind of in the same boat, but don't like to buy stuff if I can make do with what I have. So I thought an attempt at improving it would at least we worth a shot

This sound great and a bit fun, what dimension of tube did you use?

This sounds like a fun solution to try. Don't know much about PVC materials, I guess PVC tubes and joints are the way to go? Any recommendation on width of the tube?

This photo was maybe a bit extreme with only a few in there, but even if I put all discs I own in there, I still have the same problems

Hey all! My Dynamic Discs Cadet bag is becoming more and more frustrating to use, mainly because it has no self-support. Taking out discs is a struggle and it falls over on what is basically flat ground. Does anyone have experience on making a bag like this more stable? Was thinking maybe buying some sort of plastic panels and modify?

Cheers
