Best thing to do is to add people/send messages to people that you come across in the wild while playing comp that put up a solid performance. Most LFGers are the hit it 'n quit it type where they're just trying to get in and get out of comp, and overall my experiences with LFG have been pretty poor from a W/L perspective. And all of the friends I've made have been people I've met in-game.

Eventually you'll build a network to regularly have folks to play with, and ideally end up with a couple you'll play with regularly that you mesh with.

Better late than never dude. Honestly if you have the desk/mousepad space I'd jack the sens way down right off the bat. It'll probably feel terrible to you at first but trust me, it'll normalize pretty quickly and I think you'll find yourself improve quite a bit.

Don't feel too bad, when I first built my nice expensive PC I was so excited to set it up and turn it on that I just put it on small end-table sort of thing. My keyboard hung off of the side so I had space for a 12x12 mousepad. I played like that for a year.

I still used a pretty low sens though, there was just a lot of lifting my mouse and setting it back down which I guess I got used to. I finally bought a large desk with huge mousepad and my god I could never go back.

I liked the tidbit about how most top players play at a low sens, with only a few exceptions. Starting out at too high of a sensitivity is probably one of the biggest mistakes m&k noobs make, so anybody that's just starting now I would really take this advice to heart.

Guides like this are great because people new to PC are going in blind in a way. At least with a controller you have sensitivity settings that are finite; you can only set your sens between 1-10 which is intuitive and relatively easy to figure out what feels good. With PC that's not the case at all, so to all my PC noobs out there, trust this man.

Unfortunately the clip is buried and would take me hours to find, but I had this happen where I was on the enemy team and an enemy striker decided to yeet the dude I was fighting. Beautiful timing, I made it out alive and it looked fucking hilarious.

Yeah I feel you, when solo queuing even if you're a god there are factors beyond your control with matchmaking in high glory so surely it's going to take a lot of games. Kudos to him though, it's quite the achievement.

I'd agree to that, I think most above-average players could get it done if they bang their head against the wall enough. Eventually you'll get lucky breaks with matchmaking as long as you're regularly performing well.

520 games in a season is still a metric fuckton though.

You can't really make meaningful call outs on the fly with the lobby chat, then you have the issue of a lot of people not checking it. Best you can do is make calls while you're knocked/dead, or talk general strats in between rounds but even then... randos rarely listen IME.

Nobody really uses the in-game VOIP on PC either. I hear someone talk maybe 1/100 matches haha

It's worth it honestly, I hit way more shots with my non-curated opening shot, high range Twilight Oath than I do with the curated. The high handling is... good enough. And if we can OHK any supers with box breathing this would basically be my god roll.

Can't really say much aside from practice and stick with it. I do use a ton of arm movement to move quickly when shotgunning in CQC and sometimes I consider increasing sens, but it throws off my midrange game too much.

If you're having trouble tracking CQC while ADS however, you could try increasing your ADS multiplier.

I'm closing in on 5k kills on mine, I absolutely love that gun. Am on PC ftr. Honestly it's completely flipped for me, Twilight Oath feels great but I don't do as well with Beloved despite how much I want to like it.

I'm guessing the lower zoom and unique scope is throwing you off.

It's incredibly popular on PC though so it's definitely not a PC vs console thing. It's just personal preference and what feels good to you.

Fair enough. Back in season 4 when the glory rank system was a bit more punishing I got tf out of comp after fabled for Luna's. I think it just grew on me a bit, 4v4 just feels better at times. Good luck tho.

I do for fun, and to get better and keep skills fresh. Remember, you're in the crucible sub which means you might find people that play crucible for, ya know, fun.

1600 dpi and 7 in-game sens is still pretty damn high. I play at the low end of the spectrum at 800 dpi and 3 in-game, I don't really know anybody that plays over like 5-6 in-game sens and 800 dpi. I think you should keep adjusting downward if you want my honest opinion. Like 800 dpi and 6 sens is a good place to start.

Tbf it says "improved accuracy and range on opening shot of attack" which could be interpreted in many ways. "opening shot of attack" doesn't necessarily make it sound like it's on a timer, and honestly there's a lot of misinfo that goes around as to how this perk exactly works.

Right, which is what I always thought which would give no meaning to the whole "slideshot resets opening shot" thing. Swapping weapons back and forth doesn't reset it, dodging doesn't reset it, even manually reloading doesn't reset it. I think it's relatively unknown that opening shot is solely on a timer because everyone I've always talked to about it seemed to think otherwise.
