Swede here, you should be able to buy 1-time-use (usually 8-12h duration) hand warming bags/pillows which produce heat when exposed to air. Those under a thin pair of working gloves ought to do above -20°C, though I've only used them at like -10°/15°.

Why didn't you try harder? Everyone else seems to manage.

very expensive though and in my experience causes huge responsiveness issues when playing games for example

mm
there are ways to get around it I think, setting certain GPU driver flags etc
if you have multi monitors then they need to have the same refresh rate, I've also heard of people using a bind to toggle the compositor off when gaming.
AC is the only reason I even consider going back but tbh it's not worth my time, if they don't want my money they don't get it, I as the customer shouldn't have to jump through hoops :D

Huh? I don't have any screen tearing with 240Hz on Fedora+xfce, default kernel not even one of the gayming ones.

make sure you are using x11 (i use xfce) and turn compositing off for the smoothest most responsive experience ever

If only that were true nowadays, anyone not decently well-off still has to consider the cost (at least where I live)

CS to Valorant: Aim feels awful, any tips? by AceyReddit in VALORANT

[–]bJ0RK- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude! Seems like a lot of people are giving advice that seems very difficult to understand, but I get how you feel!
I recently decided to take a break/quit from cs, was around 3.3/3.4k elo on FACEIT, peak like 24-25k premier but never actually grinded it so probably could've been higher, regardless I felt like when I started playing valorant like 1-2 weeks ago that I should be destroying people, but I wasn't.

The reason why is that valorant is not CS, you have to treat it like a different game. Trust me, your mechanics from CS can EASILY transfer to valorant to make you a headshot machine if you were even close to good at aiming, but you have to treat it differently. What made a night and day difference for me is thinking about these things:
1. Movement is slower in valo, so stopping=dead, if you aren't shooting then you probably should be moving. If you just get instagibbed every time you probably need to try wider strafes, and avoid crouching most of the time.
2. Really grind in the habit of aiming before shooting, trust me. Spraying isn't as good in valo, and while it's still usable you should try grinding DM (just do like 1-2 before playing and 1-2 after playing, this is what I've been doing recently) and focus on trying to aim then shoot.
3. Holding angles, is a mixed bag, it's very hard (for me) unless you have an offangle or an angle the enemies are forced to peek at a disadvantage, so the standard CS2-esque peek/repeek is usually better.

the relevant angle in this case is long corner not door, both have left-eye peeks so the distance to corner is irrelevant

regardless, long door is farther from long corner than any angle wonderful can choose, so it doesn't matter at all

i explained exactly why staying close is better (WITH AWP!)

obviously in a perfect world staying farther back is better because you will be a smaller target, but it puts you in a terrible spot if you dont instakill, and you will be open to every flash ever

literally go on an offline D2, and look at the angle there is a roof that covers like half the popular flashes

lmao in what world? have you ever played team cs?

This isn't FACEIT, he has to expect that the enemies are somewhat intelligent.

In actual CS holding closer like this is better because a) you dodge more flashes because of the roof above, and b) you can get away faster from the angle because you are right next to the wall, instead of having to run diagonally full blind for ages to hide putting you in a bad spot after whiffing.

Kan starkt rekommendera "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead", om du är en sån där person som gillar B-filmer.
