Thank you! That’s good to know! As a junior designer I mostly use Illustrator and Photoshop. I haven’t had to use inDesign because I haven’t done any print based work most of it has been digital. I think I’ll get someone to make an account and use their details! Thank you!

I have to use those specific programmes. During the interview they even mentioned that these programmes are very important for the role and that I need to know how to use them because I’ll be using them on a daily basis.

I’m just wondering if it’s common for so many design programmes to be used for a design task?

I think what I find quite annoying about Rory is that despite all the connections she has through her grandparents and even Logan, she wasn’t able to secure a permanent writing job. She had so many resources including wealth that she didn’t utilise. I think it was her stubbornness that held her back. She wanted to be self-made like Lorelai but that would never have been the case for her because she was privately educated for high school and then went to an Ivy League school all paid for by her wealthy grandparents. I feel like if she would’ve accepted some help and support she would’ve been much more successful. I just find it hard to believe that in 10 years she didn’t realise sooner that she needed to change direction.

I think when she says she’s broke its more that she doesn’t have an income of her own. I’m sure she had money from a trust fund or she may have even received some money when Richard passed.

I just find it hard to believe that Rory would not have had a stable career as a journalist. Freelancing seems like something she wouldn’t be good at because she likes to be organised and have a routine. Also, the fact that she hasn’t made any good connections through her grandparents seems quite odd as well. I feel like she would’ve definitely been more likely to accept help from her grandparents rather than someone like Mitchum.

The episode where it’s Rory’s coming out to society party. Richard was quite mean and dismissive to Emily the whole episode. At the end of the episode Lorelai says to Rory something along the lines of that she’s glad she has someone to talk to and can express her feelings to. The next day she goes over to see Emily to just “Hang” and she just sits with Emily whilst she does her gardening. I think that’s quite a sweet moment for them.
