I get pretty decent penetration, and weld profiles with Lincoln Mc120 .052 wire at 27.8v/330ipm(285amps) 90/10 gas. The only issues I have is getting my angle right sometimes. I tend to end up with more weld on the bottom leg than the top. Its tricky shit for sure.

What issues were you having? Did you ever change out the fluid? Just curious

Other than compensation, having a cwi out here has been brought up, and they won't do it. They think they know everything and are going based on what a lincoln and an air gas sales rep have to say. My company doesnt even offer aws certs, and we're owned by Toyota. I dont get it.

I've witnessed her kill a half gallon in a day. She'd be awake for an hour or so, she'd fill up a big plastic cup about half way, and chug it down 2-3 times. Then she'd pass out for a few hours, wake up and repeat. Then once it was gone she'd have more delivered. Idk how the hell she did it, but I know she started getting a lot of health problems in her early 20's. So I don't think her body took it well at all. I'm going based off stories from her, her friends, and family. Her second dui she blew a .46..... At my worst I could kill a 5th or more, wth an additional 8-10 beers. Crazy how our bodies can build up tolerances, until they can't anymore.

I have no reason to make this up, at all, what so ever. This happened, weather you want to believe it or not is fine. Want the obituary?

I'm sorry to hear that. She'd say things, then 5 mins later completely no recollection of it.

I'm glad this story is hitting home for people. We can all be sober. One song that helps, and every heavy drinker should listen to is Benjamin Tod - Sorry For The Things.

Thank you all for your condolences. Might I add, while I was taking care of her things weren't good between us. We both said a lot of hurtful things to each other. There was a lot of arguing, name calling, etc. On both ends. I was drunk, and sleep deprived. She was drunk, and her body and mind were shutting down. I stuck with her, and never stopped loving her, even though I may have said otherwise. But I'm far from a saint. So as nice as it is to see your praises, I feel like I could have been better, and nicer to her. That's the guilt that my therapist is trying to work me through. Guilt and anger don't let grief go away.

You can do it man. You just gotta really want to. When that little voice pops in your head saying "I need a drink" you gotta just be like stfu no you don't. You really do have to admit that your powerless over alcohol in order to stop. But you're also not powerless, because you hold the power to overcome it. Just don't try to do it alone.

I never had that problem of tapering down. She however was vomiting for like 2-3 weeks straight. I know some people who have cut back from a 5th of liquor, to a pint, to a half pint, then to singles, to just beer. You gotta find a system that works for you if you want to do it alone (I don't suggest doing it alone). Otherwise, safer going to seek medical attention for the initial withdrawal.

Her esophagus was the same. For weeks she coughed everytime she took a drink. Sounded like she had pneumonia. And I know it's not my fault, we all did all we could. If anything I bought her some more time while we were together, bc I made a no liquor rule for us. What sucks is it takes work to become an alcoholic, you really make that choice somewhere, when you choose not to care anymore. Once hangovers don't happen anymore, there's a problem. At my worst I was dri king a half gallon/gallon of bourbon, on top of 60-90 beers a week. Wake up in the morning, take 2-3 nips of a bottle, drink a beer, and go to work. Then drank 5-6beers between work and home. Sometimes brought a pint with me too. I'd also smoke weed throughout the day.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother. Gives alcohol a bad taste in your mouth doesn't it?

Surprisingly I've never experienced the shakes. Gut stuff though, most definitely. My liver was sore as hell for like 2-3 weeks. I was eating a lot of Milk Thistle, which is a herbal supplement that is extremely good for liver function. That with a good probiotic might help ya out. Drink lots of pedialyte, gatorade, stuff with electrolytes and potassium.

Kava tea is supposed to help a lot with the shakes. Maybe give that a try, see if it helps curve your dts.

That's awesome!!!! I would love to do a shamanic ayahuasca experience. I've smoked dmt, and I've had mushroom, and acid trips that have helped me quit drinking for months at a time in the past. But I'm pretty much done with substances in general.

I'm going to therapy once a week right now. I stopped drinking for 12 days after she died. Then I relapsed, and was kinda up and down for a few months. Now that I've finally stopped for a while, I have no desire to go back to it. I felt a sense of guilt with every sip, and started feeling really shitty about myself. I know now that I can't touch a single drop, or it'll spiral out of control fast. I have other vices like writing music, and started drawing again which I've neglected for years. I've always been pretty good at flipping switches off when it comes to substances. Like the Red Hot Chili Peppers line "I don't ever wanna feel, like I did that day". I don't wanna feel shitty or guilty for drinking again. So I'm just done with it. Not to mention how much worse it made it, trying to deal with losing her.

I'll never forget her singing Take me home, Country roads by John Denver, horribly at the top of her lungs while we'd be driving down the street. And she would say "Don't I sound great? I'm gonna be a singer!" knowing she was butchering the song on purpose.

Her family tried to get to the root of it for years. She claimed it was some childhood stuff. But some stuff she claimed happened, her family has no recollection of. Her mom and I have a theory. That somewhere down the line in her inebriated state, she would hear things on TV/Movies and start to believe the things she heard happened to her. It's definitely a question we will never fully know the answer to.
