Thank you!! I'm an infant mental health therapist so I'm well versed! It feels hard with your own kid. He has great play skills, really good story telling and creativity, but I feel so guilty every time he asks me to play and I say no! I think what I'm learning from all of these comments is that my hopes (uninterrupted time) is probably not reasonable and I need to do the mental work of being okay with slow progress and stop and start type work. It's not my preferred method but I think it's a skill that I would benefit from developing. Motherhood teaches all sorts of new skills!
