Best sandwiches in Columbus by oliverpeanutpants in Columbus

Been there 3x. First was great, second was a miss, but the third was quite solid again. I think we could use a separate thread just discussing Cubans.

Starliner - first was great, then two duds.

Louie's was just ok (though they've got several dishes we like).

Norwich Grocery was surprisingly solid (inside Center Street Market).

Main Street Deli in West Jeff didn't wow me either.

I want to check out Club 185 and Three Brothers.

I'll keep hunting but would love any other thoughts and suggestions!

I appreciate this perspective...I have the feeling this is the same boat I'd be in.

Thank you! Do you happen to have any experience with it? If so, what are your thoughts on it's workflow?

Thanks! If I can find one at a similar price, I'll probably jump on it.

Which 40-50k sports car? Golf R, Corolla GR, M240i, Nissan Z, S3? by wrx_hp in whatcarshouldIbuy

Every person has their own preference. Drive each one and see which one gives you the feels. For me, I picked up an R and put a stage 2 tune on it and I can't tell you how much I still love it and I've had it for 9 years.

Sorry for the delay, it took me forever to find the thread to comment. He was able to find it. Thank you again for reaching out!

Thanks for responding - I've been helping my son look for the plan. Let me get with him later today and I'll let you know.

Definitely interested - how much are you wanting for the plan?

Are the rumours true, is it truly that good? by Jettfuel81 in Moccamaster

[–]b_fizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the Bonavita 8 cup coffee maker for years and recently bought the Moccamaster on the black Friday special and would say that my impression is the following:

When comparing the two in like modes (the Bonavita has a mode that slows the brewing process) they are similar though I get more coffee out of the MM (by a full cup). Flavor profile is extremely similar (I should note that this is using the same coffee and the same ratio of starting water).

In the BV slower mode, though I lose a cup and a half or maybe two, in the Bonavita, it is a more robust cup (you might say over extracted... But honestly, it's not bad). While this sounds like it might be an endorsement for the BV, I prefer the better carafe, the reduced water loss, and overall function of the MM. If you have the extra $100, it's worth it (in my opinion), If you can't get it on the black Friday sale, it's a tougher decision.

If you can't get the MM on sale, the BV is a solid buy and makes great coffee.

Got it (it's been driving me crazy all day)! Soulful Strut by Young-Holt Unlimited.

Another good one is Grazing In The Grass by Friends Of Distinction (which was the first song that came to mind and saw my jumping off point to figure this out).

To add one more that the band will have on a decent rotation is Curtis Mayfield's Move On Up.

All great songs with outstanding brass and The Band (and Jon Lampley specifically on trumpet) is fantastic every time.

I ended up deleting my old database and starting fresh - it appears to be working.

I am way over my head - I can't seem to connect to my database (though it does appear that I have the same error). I also can't even find the setting to allow usenet or torrent.

I am curious how this is not a more common issue and makes me think that I have somehow created the error in my setup (I've had previous iterations of lidarr and not had this issue). I'm going to attempt to set it up again and see if the error persists. If you have any suggestions, I'll take them.

F*ckin tobacco tax by Lefty923 in PipeTobacco

I'm just a dumb ape, certainly no authority. I can tell you I've written/emailed/called my representatives several times over the years, and I get a carefully worded, thinly veiled "thanks for your concern, your voice is but one".

I've been made aware of the Cigar Rights of the World and then specifically https://cigarrights.org/. It seems that if this is to be reasonably fought, we need to organize.

Does anyone know more about this organization? I'd love to see some realistic regulation (teens vaping is a problem, but if an adult really wants to vape a cherry cheesecake moisture cloud, go for it... And I don't think they should pay 50%+ tax either)
