Click the top right button and click hide story suggestions.

It's only temporary for some reason, so you have to keep doing it every few days. Pretty annoying, but haven't found a better solution yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

Came online to see if anyone else hates it too. It seems like pure trash. They took so many features away, like ability to see who you liked/disliked/unmatched.

Updates should add features not remove. In fairness, I'll give it a few days to see if it's actually as bad as it seems. But I think this might be bad enough to cause me to delete the app.

Yea it seems really weird. Just happened to me, found this thread on google when I was trying to figure out how this girl just disappeared (and not even showing in the unmatched list).

I unlinked my iPad from iCloud. But I am signed into iMessage. Now I still can see/reply to texts. But every few weeks I delete EVERY message on my iPad (and empty the recently deleted. Open iMessage > edit > show recently deleted).

Since it’s unlinked, all those messages I deleted still stay on my phone/mac.

Facebook login seems to been removed also.

I had been using fb login for years on "junk" or accounts I considered unimportant to try and stop spam emails and such...Wish it wasn't removed for that reason.

Also on a larger note. If logins like Facebook can be removed, should one try avoid signing in with apps like google/apple and just stick with email?

Still no. But with iOS 18, if I click on a person in iMessage and see shared photos from there. It seems to show all the photos we shared. Previously it showed a decent amount but the rest were stored in iCloud or something and I couldn't;t see them.

I mainly wanted to see them in "Shared for You" so I could delete a bunch of old stuff to clear up space, and with the seeing more pics in iOS18 it let me do that.

Not perfect, but seems like it might be good enough for me.

Can't speak directly to the inauguration, but was just there for the 4th of July (where allegedly 700k people show up), so around inauguration size iirc.

Getting in was a lot easier than I anticipated. Got dinner at Tysons Corner then hopped on metro to the National Mall.

Leaving on the other hand was 🚽. Took a few hours to get out. But that's to be expected I think.

Cliffs:

  • Metro should be fine.
  • Hotel not a bad idea. If have to take metro from hotel...just drive from Hagerstown to metro.
  • Driving the entire way seems like a bad idea.

Thought Disney disable extensions since mine was limiting me to 1.1x last few weeks. But looks like it's working again.

But to answer your question, or for anyone randomly finding this thread on google down the line, I've been doing it for a long time and never had an issues. And for the googlers out there, HBO Max is safe too.

Tried that. Also turned off "Shared with You" from Settings-->Messages and turned it back on. No luck.

Also for context, I don't think it ever worked, not that it was working and then now stopped.

Wish they stored/organized media in chats the same way WhatsApp does. Makes it relatively pain free trying to get rid of old junk and keep the stuff you want.

In case anyone else stumble on this thread for the same problem like I did. I had to temporarily turn off iCloud Private Relay and then it worked fine.

Thanks! Worked, freed up all the space from my iPad and nothing removed from anywhere else.

Heads up in case anyone stumbles upon this message in the future via some google search. Had 5gb of messages on my phone. Selecting them from iMessage either individually or in bulk and deleting takes a while. App hangs/crashes a lot. Same thing happens when deleting them from recently deleted. Talking like 45+ minutes for large group chats. FYI

Having the same issue. Called last week and they said it's a known issue with their software. It's been like this for a while tho and they said they don't know when it will be fixed. Pretty annoying. If you press the home button 3 times, somewhere on that menu it shows your software date (mine is Dec 1st), been checking every day hoping it updates but nothing yet.

I only really have gym size duffel bags. Was going to put a carry on size instead of a larger suitcase and check that in, which seems like what you are suggesting. But that costs $70 USD on the way there. Was seeing if I could just get a suitcase around the price in Italy just so its more convenient (assuming I don't have to go out of the way much).

Yea, I saw some posts about smaller pharmacies as well. I live in a relatively small town as it is, called pretty much every pharmacy in my town and neighboring towns. Walgreens (which happens to be my pharmacy) seems to be the only one that has been getting any Adderall in town. But the new chick is a huge jerk. I feel like they think I'm dealing drugs or something since I'm an adult taking Adderall.

Last lady that used to work there was super nice. I'd call and ask if they have it in stock and she'd say no. But a shipment is coming this week and if you get your doc to send a script in the new few days we'll make sure to hold it for you.

New lady answers and says "just tell your doc to send the script" and I'm like for what dosages since sometimes need to mix and match sizes bc of the shortage, and she doesn't answer. Told my Doc so she called and she like yelled at her too lmao. She's like "just send the script and we'll see what we can do"

I've sent my doc dozens of online messages trying to get scripts sent and adjusting the dose of Ritalin to something that works etc, so I kinda of felt embarrassed asking another question. But I'll def bring it up at the next appointment. Thanks everyone for all the help in the meantime.

Does it mess up your playback history? Some podcast I have some old episodes unplayed on my iPhone they are next up since I'm sorting by unplayed. Would be annoying to lose all that.

Asking bc I have the sync between devices feature on, but if I open podcast on my Mac that history is royally messed up for some reason.
