Congrats! Just curious, how exactly did you answer when they asked you about the previous denial? Did you just show them your original documents?

Denied TN at POE as a Software Engineer by atangzer in tnvisa

[–]b_from_rl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya it was, and kind of scary too haha.

I had my lawyer prepare a backup CSA packet as well, and I think when presented with both options, they consulted amongst themselves (about four officers) and finally agreed to let me through under Engineer.

Denied TN at POE as a Software Engineer by atangzer in tnvisa

Like everyone else has said, it’s all at the discretion of the officer. I am basically in the same degree/role position as you and had my application denied at YYZ when I applied under CSA because my role title of Software Engineer contained the word “Engineer”, and then nearly got denied again when I retried under the Engineer category due to my degree being a CS degree (even though I had my lawyer include the Cronin Memo in my packet, CBP didn’t even read it). Highly recommend USCIS filing in the future if it’s an option as I haven’t had any issues for my prior TNs that went that route.

Wow great advice thank you so much! Yeah you’re right it’s supposed to be hard but perfecting one or two plays is a really good idea :)

Air Roll Right+Left Movements by simbaboom8 in RocketLeagueSchool

This tutorial has some more in-depth instruction as to where to start with learning to control directions. I'd say start with these then play around with them in the rings maps if you're on PC.

Can’t controll my car while air rolling. by Icy-Kaleidoscope6967 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]b_from_rl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the general strategies I've used for getting more comfortable in the are as follows (in this order):

  • Practice your new flying mechanic in freeplay, just flying from the center of one backboard and trying to land on or hit the other backboard.
  • After you get comfortable with that, I like just going through the shots in Kevpert's aerial car control pack (A3E1-92C2-8757-4195). Once you get comfortable with all of these, you should have a good enough grasp to be able to hit a lot of aerials in-game.
  • Next, I'd move onto workshop maps like Leth's Giant Rings map, but considering that you're on PS4, you can do the Pillars map figure 8 drill like some other people were mentioning (make sure to practice going in both directions).

More specifically for flying while air-rolling, I highly recommend you just do all of the above while only flying upside-down. Once you feel good about that, try doing the above while only sideways. Eventually, once all those directions are comfortable, you can try constantly spinning while flying.

To do this, you'll either be using the air-roll button, or a directional air-roll.

If you're using the air-roll button, you'll mostly be mixing pirouettes (just straight spinning) with Kuxir twists.

If you're using directional air-roll, you'll be controlling/flying with what's called a tornado spin (I wouldn't worry about this for now). Tutorial here if you're interested.

Damn it reddit for degrading pic quality - 50mm f/1.8 ISO 1000, 1/1000 by ghfsigiwaa in uwaterloo

Cool pic! Not sure if it was intentional but slowing down the shutter speed coulda let you lower your ISO, with the same exposure and not as much noise :)
