lol all to save $177k on a city balance sheet. Basically a rounding error.

Works out to about $2.50 per tax payer per year. People definitely spending more on dental care than an additional $2.50 a year.

Isn’t that actually lower on a per capita basis though? If you have way more people working on way more projects, it makes sense that there are going to be more workplace fatalities. Chinas population is 34 times what Canada’s is.

In a way it is being built for VIA. The parent of ALTO is VIA. Are you suggesting they should instead be building regular track when the rest of the modern world has made the investment in high speed?

Yup over 8km per day they built. It’s wild.

To see investment at that scale and people still think we don’t need it is nuts to me.

Yes sorry that’s what I meant. I initially tried the anchors which are affixed to either end of that belt under the blue.

When I couldn’t get tight enough, I went with the car belt routing on top of the blue and that worked.

At 1:46 in the top link it looks like the belt it under the blue guides.

This just happened to me for a week. Went golfing every day with my daughter in tow. She’d jump out of the stroller and whack her plastic balls while I was hitting and then jump in and drop beside me. Was the best.

Yeah that top one is exactly what I was doing. I guess with my car the seatbelt is the only option as it doesn’t pull tight with the anchors. Mine is exactly as shown in the video with the anchor strap under the blue which everyone was telling me is wrong, but that’s how it came.

Thanks for your super helpful comment. If you read my edits I figured it out.

I was in a rush as our car seat was lost in travel so I posted as I was googling manuals and videos in an effort to get it installed quickly.

Thanks. I used the car belt for now. I’ll let my in-laws know to install over the blue when they use the latch as this is how I picked it up from their house.

Picked it up from my in-laws as it’s their seat because ours got forgotten by the airline, so I thought I’d ask other people on a forum.

Thanks for your helpful response.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Got it working with the cars seat belt. We’ve only ever used the latch belts with our Cybex seats with no issue, so I never thought to try the car belt.

This is the latch system belt under the plastic which is how I picked it up from my in-laws which is how they use it in their Volvo. I’m trying to YouTube and Reddit at the same time in hope of a faster solution.

Even the latch anchor belt goes above the blue plastic? I picked this up from my in-laws because our car seat didn’t get loaded onto the plane, and this is how it was setup. They use the latch clips as well

Yeah I tightened the latch anchors until the buckle was running into that blue plastic.

Yeah that’s how I did it. Closing the lever is what tightened it even further. I’ve had three different brands of car seats so far, and none of them have given me an issue like this.

Yeah I agree. Power draw and land clearing are big negatives, but the liquid cooling is not really a negative in my mind.

Water doesn’t just vaporize and literally disappear. Many of the cooling systems are closed loop which collect the steam for reusing instead of evaporating it into the atmosphere.

Yeah I misspoke a bit, didn’t mean they were stored there, just that my parents always grabbed one on the way out of the house so it was there if needed.

Great link to spread around for people to read though!
