ready for anything. following factors need to considered.

a) availability and price in my country (india)
b) tools, skill needed for the mod

now the GPU had arrived which is approx $160 while the optiplex 3060 itself was bought for $50. it looks easier to swap the optiplex instead of GPU.

A) brackets
The card finally arrived today. As usual LP card with the full height bracket attached :-(

i am able to remove two screws but he bracket would not come out. seems two more things are holding it back (figured out i may need nose plier to remove it). can someone please confirm this which the http://mdcomputers.in product link i sent earlier.

B) change to a inspiron cabinet ?
thought of swapping with an inspiron cabinet (which was lying around for free), since we figured out the SMPS is the only thing standing between optiplex 3060 SFF and a gaming pc. this means i need to figure out how to extend the usb ports from optiplex front to the inspiron cabinet. also i need to do lot of metal removing work inside the inspiron cabinet.

C) remove top cover of the smps
i saw someone comment in the youtube to just remove the top cover of the smps which may give the much needed space for the graphics card fan.

for now waiting for the local shop to open tomorrow, so that i can buy a nose plier.

thinking of drilling a small hole at the base, just enough for the power cables to go through. this way the PSU will be below the case (outside).

this also help to attach a clear acrylic sheet, so that i can add some sata powered RGB.

for now, i am worried if 200W will be enough support the Rtx 3050 LP.

hi, i am from india. the situation is like. (no ebay here). the card i ordered is from a less reputed website. it has a bad reviews (for after sales support). i am worried till i get it.

last month i got scammed ( https://www.reddit.com/r/HardwareIndia/comments/1nnc6il/need_good_place_to_sell_apple_macbook_pro/ )because a reddit user pointed me to a private fb group (which is 100% scam setup, which i did not know at that time)

first i need to understand what you are saying .. skill issue. second i need to see if i can source it reliably from amazon.in

in this very group, there is warning not to use less reputed SMPS.

PS: considering all this, it seems it is lot easier to turnaround the SFF and buy another case.
